AT LEAST AT SELHURST PARK WE DON'T HIDE OUR AWAY SUPPORTERS BEHIND

FLOODLIGHTS (LIKE CERTAIN SOUTH LONDON CLUBS THAT SHALL REMAIN

NAMELESS),AND WE KNOW WE'LL BE SEEING PREIMIER LEAGUE FOOTIE!

BUT AS 4 AWAY SUPPORTERS I CAN'T EXPLAIN THE SUDDEN DROP OF THE

ALREADY BAD TURN OUTS THE LAST 1-2 SEASONS.

I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT THE FACT THAT W/DON ARE SUCH A

YOUNG CLUB IN LEAGUE FOOTBALL TERMS DOES EXPLAIN FOR THE SMALL

FOLLOWING,ie YOU LOSE THE FATHER TO SON SUPPORT THAT IS THE

BACKBONE OF MOST CLUBS,BUT THAT SAID THE RECENT DROP IN SUPPORT

DOES THROW MY EXCUSES OUT THE WINDOW.

Suprise, suprise! Wimbledon are leading the chase for the 1.5 mill

Andrew, you've been in the States too long. Didn't you know that
following EC directive No.192.100.46 Sect D Revision III the foot has

After having a #10M bid accepted Peter Shilton at 45 is due to sign a
    weekly contract with Wimbledon.

He will be back-up to Hans Sagers and likely to be on the bench for the
DONS 5th round cup-tie and replay of the 1988 Cup Final at Anfield.

That makes 4 internationals; Wales, Nigeria, Norway and England and if

Looks like Wimbledon are coming to Dublin - to stay.

There's been a lot of talk in the Irish media today about the possibility
of them setting up shop in Dublin. Boy, it would make the crowds turn
out in Dublin and would be a master stroke if they could being it off.

Saying that I think there would be too many powerful people against it.

Looks like a non-runner, IMO.

More talk of Wimbledon relocating to Dublin in yesterdays paper..

Last time Vinny was in Dublin he bit of more than he could chew.

I think the premier league is becomming more American, where owners
move teams based on personal preference, money and facilities. The
interest generated by the Irish national team should ensure sell out crowds
and if Wimbledon could arrange to play a few games in South London to
satisfy there small but dedicated support, I think its a good idea.

But I cannot see the administrators letting it happen and I suggest its
another move by Sam the Man to put presure on Merton Council to allow
the development of Plough Lane and to keep Joe sweet with the Irish
pending him taking over from Big Jack.

The Guardian said that the FAI had blocked it. Apparently they don't
want to get into the same kind of mess as the FAW have done with The
League of Wales and UEFA. By the same token a move to Cardiff looks
a bit iffy.

On a serious note, Basingstoke is gasping for a decent team, there's a huge
catchment area, easy to get to, loads of parking, and the stadium(?)/pitch is
gagging for expansion, just can't see Wimbledon there tho.

They are talking about building an entirely new stadium not expanding Camrose,
home of Basingstoke Town. The new stadium would be located much closer to the
town centre, just off Churchill Way. There is acres of land to spare.
Personally I think it would be great, though I would still rather travel to
watch the Chelsea than attend a Wimblestoke or Basingdon game.

I think it is pie in the sky, remember 4-5 years ago they had a crazy idea
about bidding to win and relocate the Wimbledon lawn tennis championships.
