50.0. "DECHead Tshirts, stickers, flyers, etc...." by LEDS::MRNGDU::YETTO (child of countless dreams) Wed Jan 09 1991 18:22

In the past we have had DECHead T-shirts designed, made and distributed
through this notes file, as well as other types of T-s. We have also
talked about other such noble ideas as stickers and flyers to be distributed
during tour time.

Let us use this note to discuss these items and others like them. Please, if
you make a request for a T-shirt or plan the distribution of such items, delete
those notes once all materials have been received. Thanks.

The keywords DECHEAD_TSHIRTS, STICKERS and FLYERS have been added to this note.

Considering your node name, you're in Acton or Boxboro, right? There's
a closer place in the Searstown Mall, right off of Rt. 2 in Leominster.

I don't remember the name of the place, but it's in the middle of the
mall, down in one of the alcoves off the main corridor. You can't miss
it though ... they've got 'Dead stickers plastered all over their
    storefront window.

yah, i suppose; i did not think twice about it as i usually use "he" as
the personal pronoun over "she" because i'm a "he" when i don't know what
gender my audience is. i sure hope that people don't get bummed over this!!!
that'll definitely, IMO, be over sensitive....

Rich is right, the v3's, which are all I have extras of, are the dancing
bears. And Ken, only the bottom half are tie dyed ;-)
50.19How 'bout v4?!ROCK::CHARNOKYFri Sep 30 1994 17:1712
Well, seeing that I'm new here and the supply of DEChead shirts has
been depleted, I've been thinking about designing a v4.

I have dyed/painted/silk screened individual shirts by hand in the past, but
nothing on a large scale. How has this traditionally been done for v1 thru
v3? Was a design given to a local printer to run off on the shirts?

Now, I just need a good idea. Any suggestions are welcome!
    (Encouraged!)

The process is to discuss it endlessly and take numerous votes, none of
which count. Not surprisingly, the same "decision making process" is
how Digital "works." Finally, someone steps forward and does the work
of designing the shirt, then risks their own cash to have it printed
up. Then the real work begins: taking orders, delivering shirts,
dealing with bounced checks, etc., all for no profit.

The process is so stressful and demanding that everyone involved
tacitly agrees never to even think about doing it again. Until someone
    new comes along.

Then once the design is settled, the printer called and working on the
shirts, half of the people will decide they want theirs tie-dyed ;-)

DAMN!! I missed me! I had crummy seats up in balc 109 row A,
and I could see only the lower 1/2 of the screen, and that was when I stood
up to see around the guy in front of me who sleazed in.

I had a great view of the video workstation editing monitors, though,
and spent a lot of time watching them assemble the video. At one point
I looked down and saw them working with the scenes they shot right after
me - of the mini-tour of the vats. I did see that part up on the main
viewing screen :-) during Aiko Aiko, was I on right before that?

Let me know if you find out! I have a few shirts that are no longer even
wearable at concerts. Well, I suppose I could wear them, but I'd probably
be trailing pieces on the floor like Hansel and Gretel in the woods ;-)
