164.0. "Terrapin Station-found in Newmarket NH! :^)" by ROULET::DWEST (Dont Overlook Something Extraordinary) Wed May 29 1991 20:06

interesting thing happened to me at DCU today... :^)

the tellers there know i'm a deadhead (how many money orders do they
have to make up before they figure that out eh? :^)... well, Brian
(one of the tellers) told me of a place he found in New Hampshire this
weekend and he wondered what, if anything we knew about it...

evidently in the town of Newmarket NH there is a place called
Terrapin Station!!! it is somewhere off rte 108 near the center of
town... the place was closed when they found it but they checked it
out as best they could (Brian is a sort of part-time head)... said
it looked like they had dies and tapes and stuff but he didn't know
much about it other than it sparked his interest... supposedly
the placeeven looks like the station on the album cover!!!

so, has anyone seen this place? visited?? have any info???

Next Slipknot show, talk to Paul "The Artist" Walker. I believe he's been
there. There was a write-up about it in Worcester Magazine (with a color
photo, and, yes, it does look like the album cover) about a year ago. The
description you gave seems correct, as far as I've heard.

I've seen a picture of it, .... no not on the album cover silly! :-)
Paul Walker showed me a picture of himself in front of it so I would
assume that means he has definately been there. Maybe you can get
more poop on it at Sir Morgan's if'n y'all go Saturday (hint hint).

Sorry, can't help. I only have dates and locations. Doing setlists would be
too much work. And you know me when it comes to work.

By the way, I was not at that show. In December, 1988 I was working my ass off
in Rochester getting my "Computer Controlled Photodetector Flashlight Follower"
to work. I did get it to work, and I got a B in the class. :-)
