13.17Wanted: Combo Amp for Electronic DrumkitCSG001::MCPHERSONA mind is a terrible thing...Thu Jan 12 1989 12:2815
Looking for an amp setup suitable for an electronic drum setup. If you
live in the New England area and have a keyboard amp that you'd like to
unload, then let's talk. These are the characteristics I'm looking for
    right now:

    	    - Preferably a "combo" amp, to keep setup simple
	    - Enough "kick" to hold its own w/o PA feed (?100+ watts)
	    - Line-out(s) so I can get a PA feed while using as a monitor
	    - Multiple inputs
	    - Reasonable eq
	    - reasonable price

13.19Wanted: Korg PolySix manualXERO::ARNOLDSign on heaven's door: Hello DaliFri Jan 27 1989 20:5117
Wanted:	Owner's manual (a photocopy will do, of course) for the
    		Korg PolySix.

I can't find mine and have forgotten how to do some things (like the
dreaded tape backup of patches). I've got the Korg MIDI-mod for the
PolySix and it refers to the original owner's manual. If someone with
a Korg PolySix manual could provide me with a copy, I'd be glad to send
a copy of the MIDI-mod manual in case they wanted to see what you get
with the modification. (It does a lot, but not velocity or pressure
    sensitivity.)

Please send me mail and we'll work out the details.

    Thanks!

13.25Custom patch panel wantedCLULES::SPEEDGrass grows greener after the fireFri Feb 10 1989 15:3725
I need to have a patch panel made for my rack.

My idea is to not have to get into the back of my rack while setting up
for a live performance. Just take off the front cover, plug in, and
    away I go.

I would like a single space panel with the following connections:

MIDI IN (from my KX76 controller)

Audio out, left, XLR connector with ground lift (to PA)
Audio out, right, XLR connector with ground lift (to PA)

Two audio ins, 1/4" phone jacks (to connect other synths to mixer)

I don't have the equipment needed to drill out the panel.

If you would be interested in doing this for me, send me mail at
HARBOR::SPEED with an estimate of how much it would cost.

Also, if anyone knows of someplace that would do this for me, please
    let me know.

Thanks to all of your help. I'm about to purchase a QR soon. Question
here (not sure where this belongs, but.....):

I've called a few places and have received a few prices. I tried
calling profound music...I tried calling there 4 times...each time
I reached someone there and they said "we're too busy, can we call
you back". I'm getting p.o.'d at them. I mean, is it me, or have
other noters had such trouble getting a PF representative on the
phone with them? I can't see how this is good for their business/

    FYI all:

Well, I tried one more time one Friday. I told them what I was
interested in and asked for a price quote and got no response. I told
them I had called 5 times with messges that someone (primarily Shane)
would call me back. I told them I was going to take my business
elsewhere from now on. Well, the guy came to a change of heart (it
seemed) after that remark, and PROMISED that someone would call me back
in 5-10 minutes. Well, 2 hours laster I had to leave work, and no
response. So, bye bye to Profound music, IMHO that place sux. I mean,
if I treated MY customers that way, I'm sure Uncle Ken wouldn't keep my

I gave up on Profound about one year ago for all the reasons mentioned
previously. I switched to Caruso Music in Conn. and have been extremely
satisifed. Larry or Richard Caruso and Rick Watson (keyboards) are very
helpful, courteous, and reliable. The packing and shipping are excellent.
Prices are very competitive. I usually shop around for prices, then call
Caruso's to place the order. They always meet or beat the price if it is
reasonable.

Profound is hard to deal with, they're nation-wide now with one

my while to persue a deal with them as no one (except maybe East

( DEZYNE DANCE BAND LOOKING FOR A KEYBOARD PLAYER...)

The Dezyne Dance band is currently looking for a keyboard
player. The band has been together for 2 years and been
working steady during that time. Dezyne is a top/40 dance
band (on the funk R/B side). The band consists of 5 guys
and a lady, with a male and female front person. About 30%
of our present material is sequenced, but this is not a must.
The band is based out of Fitchburg, but plays all over Mass.
and southern New Hampshire. All our gigs are 2,3,and 4 nights.

If your looking for something a little different then your
traditional top/40 rock band, this might be it. Some of the
artist we do are, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Jody Whately,
Shenna Easton, Pretty Posion, Karen White, Tina Marie,
Midnight Star, Pebbeles, Cameo, and so on...

I was interested in trying one of the Suzuki cheapo guitar-like MIDI
controllers. Thought maybe one of the music stores in Boston would
be willing to get rid of old stock for cheap, but none of them had
any. Also checked the Want Advertiser with no luck. I don't think
they ever sold very many of these things.

If anyone happens to run across a used one at a good price (I don't

Hi. I need a few things. If anyone has any of these or knows how I can
get one please tell me.

Owner's manual for a Crown DC-150A power amp. If anyone out there can even
Xerox one for me that would be great, but I'll even settle for Crown's
telephone number and/or address.

Remote control unit for a TEAC 2340-SX 4-track deck. I forgot the model
number, but it's something like RC-120.

Thanks

I don't like to quote prices at Wurly's anymore. My price may not be your price.
I spent over $10k in there last year, so I may get an additional discount.
Suggest you give Eddie Fritz a call. He is now the store manager. You might

13.67looking for keyboard standSPACED::HOULEDon't worry, be happyTue Jul 11 1989 18:0411
I've recently acquired a keyboard and am now looking for a keyboard stand.

I would like one that I can sit down at and play (some stands I've looked
at seem to have been made with only standing in mind). I would also like
it to have two tiers.

From what I've read in the STAND subject, the invisible seems to fit the
bill (retails for $100). If I can't find a used one shortly (probably by
next week) then I'll probably buy a new one.

(also posted in DREGS::MUSIC)

I currently play in a top 40/dance trio called MENAGE, which consists
of myself playing guitar and two female vocalists performing with
taped music. We are booked *solid*, playing 40-45 weekends a year.

We are now exploring the possibility of switching to a live MIDI act.
Ideally, we would like to find someone who would be interested in
sequencing all of our songs and then running our sound at gigs. (In
other words, you would be a "background" member of the band and not
actually on stage.) However, this is negotiable and if the person
wanted to perform on stage with us, we'd be interested in that as
well.

The pay is great. For club gigs, we make between $75-150 per person
per night. For weddings/functions, we make a minimum of $200/person.

We are based in the southern NH/northern MA area, and our gigs are
usually between the seacoast (Newburyport area), Salem/Londonderry,
and Fitchburg areas, with occasional "getaway" weekends up in the
White Mountains.

If you fit the bill and are interested in finding out more, please
contact Dan Dube.

They don;t do mailings anymore, instead you have to install a fortran hack on

	Hello! Hello! Hello!!!

I'm a new DEC employee who is only just beginning to discover
the wonders of notes files. As a electronic music buff, I felt
like a kid in a candy store when I discovered this conference.

Anyway, like I said in the title, I'm looking for a copy of
Roger Powell's "Cosmic Furnace" album from the early '70s.

Even though I know Roger personally, I've been unable to get
a copy of this album (I mean an original Atlantic disk, not
a copy made on casette) because it is out of print and even
Rog himself has only one copy.

Anyway, if anyone out there has one that they are willing to part
with, drop me a note. We'll negotiate the price.

	Cheers,

	Ed Chaban

I'm looking for one or more people to make music with. Years ago I played an
electronic organ at a bar -- the extent of my professional experience. I have
only slight experience jamming. I've played keyboard by ear (just about every
day) since age four. I do read music, but painfully and slowly. I mostly
improvise and compose. I program my Macintosh computer to accompany me on my
Yamaha DSR-1000 keyboard. The results are recorded on an ultra hi-fi VHS VCR.
I also have mikes, mixer, reverb box and a few other things. Also, I sing,
play recorder and guitar (very slightly). Looking for fun. Wouldn't mind
minor 'gig's'. I like to play almost any type of music, but would like to
concentrate on new age/experimental and modern (light) jazz.

I would classify my keyboard skills as advanced.

vaporized. Before I go through the public humiliation of asking
specific questions that any MIDIot can answer, I was hopeing someone
out there could copy some of the manual for me. I don't need a lot of
MIDI implementation information, I need set up information. At this
time I can only get one note and one patch on a couple of the "user"

	2) Guitar, Lead/background vocals
	3) Guitar, Background vocals
	4) Drums
	5) Keys, Background vocals

I am the current keyboard player and I have decided to leave the band
for personal reasons (ok, we're expecting!!). You will not find a bunch
of guys that work so well together. No egos, even the guitar players 8^).
The band has worked steadily (about 2-3 weekends a month) in the past year.
The band has steady work for 1990 also. No intentions of making this a full
time job as everyone has full time day jobs.
One of the band members owns the PA and van to carry it. All you need
to supply is your own equipment and an ability to have fun making music!
The band rehearses in the Lowell/Dracut area.

but his family is keeping the Apple II computer that we used for

that I can't use. I also do not have any pricing info on some of this
	stuff.

If anyone out there can give me an idea of fair prices for the
items listed below I would appreciate it.

Passport MIDI Interface with Tape Sync.............

Dr. T's Keyboard Controlled Sequencer..............

Dr. T's CZ Rider (Patch Lib. for Casio CZ synths)..

Dr. T's Riffs (sequences for KCS)..................

ALSO, if anyone is interested in buying this equipment,

If anyone is interested in trading for this equipment, I may be

Anyone know where to get spare parts for common keyboards, aka DX-7?
I tried stores like Daddy's and they wanted like $5-$10 for a single
key! No big deal if you need only 1 or 2, but if you need over 10 it
reallys adds up. By the time you're done you could probably go buy a
    whole nother unit used somewhere.

Try contacting Yamaha. You might not like the prices, but
you'll find out what you can get. I recently replaced the keyboard
on my ESQ-1 (total cost $154.00 - full keyboard), as the internal
plastic motion limiters were breaking (only on the very high notes
	- not in the places that get a lot of action) and sticking up
in the air about 1 1/2 inches (strange action) - Duct Tape held
4 in place for a while & I got worried about it. I've since rebuilt
the limiters (many were cracked) out of non-plastic material, so
	I have a spare.

    Hi,

I am looking to either start or get into a group that is or wants
to play in the Alternitive realm. It's not too specific because every
band is different. My main goal is to write original music and record
in the studio. Gigging out is the second goal.
Anyway, my influences vary from Scofield to Squeeze and anything
inbetween. The material that I write usually seems to be in rock
influenced but is not really limited to that.
I have studio experience, and have played out at places like the
Rat, Channel; etc.. I have been in rock, Alternitive rock, and am
    dabbling in a Jazz/fusion trio.
My main playing is usually fingerstyle, but use slap/pop, picking,
    and tapping methods also.
       I own my own equipment:

Washburn XS-4 - Nice clear sound for a low-end bass
                G&L L1000/2000
Rickenbacker 4001 - With the nice old plunky sounding
                                      flatwounds.
                SWR SM-400 head
                SWR Goliath 4x10 cab
                Tascam 246 4-track
                Various cheap guitars

I live in the Maynard area, but will travel to Boston, southern-
    New Hampster, or Worcester.

To any YS77 owner:

I am the new owner of a beautifull baby TG77 and love it to death.
I also got from the dealer literally dozens of disks with thousands of
sounds, multis, and sequences. Unfortunately they are in SY77 disk format.
So if someone with a SY77 is willing to come over, we can tranfer sounds to
my unit so I can dump them onto my Mac, in exchange of course, you get all
the data as well.
Give me a call, thanx

    Wanted: Musicians

Two budding songwriters are looking to form a band to perform
    original music. We are:

Alan Starr - Vocals & Guitar
    Tom Gallo - Guitar/Bass/Vocals

He writes mostly words and I write the music.

The songs range from springsteen-eqse to Pop Metal. If you
heard the Guitarnotes II tape, you three of our songs.

We're looking for the following musicians:

    	1. Verstatile bassist

    		- I'll be playing mostly rhythm guitar in this band, but would
like to play some bass as well. If you can play guitar
and bass or keys and bass it would be *ideal*.

    	2. "Lead" guitarist

    		- Neither Alan or I have "lead" chops. We need someone who
    	          has some verstatility of style.

    	3. Drummer

    	4. Keyboards

    		- Again if you can do keys/bass it would be great.

As always, vocals are a plus. Alan will do the "lead" vocals, but
we'd like to add strong harmony vocals to our songs.

We have a rehearsal space, in Hillsboro NH, which is quite a drive,
so if you have one in the So. NH, or in Mass, it would be great!

Lastly, this is not a "serious" band. We're not looking to make it
big, just get a few gigs and have a good time and maybe record.

	Sniff.

Well, I have a Brand-new-and-almost-never-used User Manual, which would

I would like to get into a band, or start a band that is
Alternative oriented. I would like to be playing out at the clubs
again and having fun - In between all the work...

I am looking for something I can be challenged at. It would be
All original music, with the exception of re-writing/arranging music.
I have experience playing in the clubs; Channel, Rat, Etc... and also
    have studio recording experience.

My roots have been in rock (sort of by default), and R&B - but not
limited to that. I'm constantly learning new things to enhance my ability.

My style is pretty variable at the moment. Most of the bands
that I have played in have been Rock, R&B Rock, & slightly Alternative
rock. My playing includes Picking, Finger style, Slap/Popping, and a
small amount of Tapping. At the moment, my strongest points are Finger-
    style and Picking.

My listening is kind of broad. I'm usually tuned into the 'FNX/BRU
stations. Or listing to some Jazz/Fusion, or something by the Hoodoo -
Guru's, or The Oyster band, or what ever. I tend to do alot of station
    changing.

The music that I do has been described as Avant garde, Alternative,
Rock, Funk - Not really specific sounding... Probably related to my
    choice in listening.

*** As a side note: At this year's DECJam '91, I will be playing in a
a band called "The Earth Movers". It's an -All Bass- band
including drums. It should be quite the blast!

   My Equipment:

I am currently using two basses: Washburn XS-4 - Mostly used for
it's brightness, clarity, and good low end. Also - a modified G&L bass -
Used for hammering, and kind of Fender sound.

For amplification I am using and SWR SM-400 amp with an SWR Goliath
   4x10 cab. It's cool...It can hold it's weight.

           Other Equipment:

                Rickenbacker 4001 bass - Modified
                Dean Baby-Z guitar
Other Non collectable cheap guitars and basses for fun.
                Traynor 40-watt practice amp.
                Tascam 246 four-track.
                Rocktron 360 stereo compressor.
                Junk.

        I live in the Maynard area, but I will travel to Worcester or Boston;
and might travel to southern New Hampster

Anyway... If there is something happening here, give me a buzz.

I can be reached at the following:

Depending on your friend's needs, there have been a couple of keyboards recently
advertised in this conference which could be possibilities: A Kawai K1
(asking $425, I believe) and a Yamaha PF-80 (asking $800). The latter has 88
keys, a very nice piano action, nice synth sounds (limited selection), and
not-so-great piano sounds. The former has 61 keys, a fairly wide range of synth
capabilities, and typical unweighted synth action.

Good luck,

WANTED - QuickDisk Samples

I just picked up an S-10 keyboard, and I'm trying to figure out whether I'm
gonna keep it or not (compared to my ESQ-1). Does anyone have a couple of
good sampled sounds I can borrow or copy to give this thing a real test?
I got a few sounds with it, but I'd like to hear a piano and maybe a couple
organ sounds (neither of which I got).

thanks,
alan

    Hello all,

I just recently bought a used Roland TR-707 rhythum composer for a
real good price. The only catch is that it didn't come with an
operation manual. I was hoping that maybe one of you, or someone
you know has one and would be willing to photo copy it for me. I
can be reached on USADEC::DUPREE or DTN 237-2740 just ask for Mardi.

13.271Midi drum kit WEORG::WIEGLERThu Aug 01 1991 18:4614
I'm looking for a used midi drum kit. Something with a trigger-to-midi
interface as well as enough pads to use as a drum set. Internal sounds
are desirable, but not required. I recently saw a Yamaha kit with a
Yamaha PMC-1 brain, which would be ideal (but I wasn't fast enough with
the cash). There are some Simmons kits that would also work, although
I'm not sure I know the right model numbers.

If you have something like this to sell, please let me know.
Or if you see something in a music store or newspaper, please pass the
    word to me.

Don't get too uptight if you can't find a manual. The key functions

13.282Brand X R&R Band seeks SynthesistDECSIM::GILLETTAnd you may ask yourself, 'How do I work this?'Tue Sep 03 1991 16:5762
The Brand X Rock and Roll Band is seeking a synthesist.

Who We Are: We are a currently a four piece band (bass, lead,
rhythm, and drums). Our current repertoire is "classic rock,"
but we have ambitions far beyond one particular genre. Our
musical influences range from CCR, BTO, and Cream to REM,
Midnight Oil, and the B-52s (and *everything* else in between).
We strive to avoid being characterized as playing only one
	particular style.

We're looking to have an eclectic variety of songs, ranging
across the spectrum from classic rock, new wave, jazz, blues, and
anything else that's fun to play. The wider range of music we
play, the better. We feel that to meet this goal, and to expand
our sound, we need to add a synthesist.

We're not planning to become rich and famous rock stars. None of
us are going to quit our daytime job :-). We play together for
the fun and excitement of performing, to improve our own
abilities, and to hopefully make a few bucks in the process.

If you're a synthesist who wants to play in a relaxed atmosphere
and work on a variety of different musical styles, then read on...

	Who we're looking for:

We're looking for a talented, attitude free musician who plays
for fun & enjoyment, not necessarily for getting rich. You
should have good equipment, including amps/speakers (of course we
have a PA, but it's small and pretty maxed out by our singing).
We're looking for someone who can play a variety of styles, and
who knows enough about synthesizer programming to do interesting
work beyond the presets. None of us are synthesizer-literate, so
don't expect to be working with a bunch of midiots.

Hopefully you can sing - everyone in the band sings now, some of
us better than others. We could use another good voice.

You should like the idea of getting out to play, but not be
hooked on the idea of getting out every weekend. We want to get
out quite a bit in the near future, but none of us wants to play
	every weekend of every month.

We've got a pretty good sized repetoire right now, so there's
lots of material for you to work on right away. We need an
aggressive player who knows how to make great sounds, and isn't
afraid to solo or play lead parts. We need someone who will fit
in with us, and be friendly and eager to work.

The Brand X Rock and Roll Band practices nearly every Monday and
Wednesday from 7:30-10:00 PM. We make our home in Marlboro,
Mass, although we'll be happy to discuss rehearsing in your
studio if you live in the area :-).

If you're interested, send mail to DECSIM::GILLETT, or give me
(Chris Gillett) a call at DTN 225-7172. We're not really into
auditioning, just finding a good fit (that is, you like us and we
like you). So come check us out. It could be the band you're
	looking for!

Thanks!
/Chris

13.289WANTED: BASSIST, DRUMMER, SINGERBUSY::CLEMENTI've fallen and I can't shutupMon Sep 23 1991 13:0843
Musicians Needed for start-up covers band.

Looking for experienced SINGER, DRUMMER, and BASS player for rock band.
By experienced I mean musicians who have played professionally.
We are planning to play great rock tunes of the past thru the present.

We currently have a lead guitarist (Tony), and myself (Mark) on keyboards
and guitar. Rehearsals at my house in Milford MA. We are open to all ideas
and songs, this is a co-op effort. We are looking to have fun, to learn,
and to play out perhaps up to twice a month.

We are currently talking to a singer and drummer thinking of leaving
their band. But we still want to talk to other singers and drummers.

Rehearsals will probably be once a week. But could be more or less often
depending on consensus.

Tony and I had our first rehearsal last week, and came up with this initial
song list...

Artist Title

Beatles You Can't Do That
Billy Idol L.A. Women
Billy Idol Mony Mony
Bowie Suffrage City
Buddy Holly Rave On
Deon Run Away
Elvis P. Little Sister
Fleetwood Mac Oh Well
G. Thorougood Move it on over
Lover Boy Turn me loose
Outsiders Time Won't Let Me
W. Zeevon Werewolves London

As you can see this is a wide range, but we hope to narrow that range by
playing these songs with both an original sound combined with our own
sound which is still evolving.

Please respond by mail, as I can't spend much time on the phone at work.
Or you can call me at home at 508 478-4778 in the evenings.

Band Member Needed!

SEE NO EVIL is losing its rhythm guitarist/saxophonist (amicable split -
he's moving to Florida). We're seeking a replacement member, either a
keyboardist, guitarist, or saxophonist. The ideal candidate would be able
to fulfill two (or even all three!) of those roles, but we're more than
willing to talk to anyone who might be interested.

SEE NO EVIL is a rock cover band, playing a variety of music from the 50s
through today, centering on upbeat, danceable rock songs. We're currently
gigging 1-2 weekends a month (with plans to boost that to 2-3 weekends a
month), both nightclubs and a variety of functions. (Our next booked gig
is for Thanksgiving weekend, and the new member must be found by then.)

We are based in the Haverhill (MA)/Salem (NH) area. Rehearsals (once the
new member is caught up) are once a week for 2-3 hours. We have rehearsal
space and PA. Vocals are a plus, but not required. Professionalism is
required, but we're also an easygoing bunch, and its fun for all of us.

Is looking for a keyboard player, with good equipment

Dezyne is a Top 40 dance funk band. Doing material from

Because of the clubs we play, we've decide to turn the
band into more of a show band, so we need to free up the front people
so sometimes we can dance more, and give more of a show, (like the
New Edition, Troop, etc.,). Most of the bands that are doing the same
circuit have 3 to 4 keyboard players and at least 8 members in the
band. We figure if we start back to sequencing SOME again, we can fill
the spot of another keyboard player without making the band look like
a midi band. This is an excellent money making opportunity. All
but one of the members has a day job. We basically work 3 weekends

		- Bass guitar / lead, backup vocals
		- Keys / backup vocals (leaving)
		- Lead guitar
		- Drums (full electronics w/ acoustic cymbals)

We have been working together for several years, and have developed

13.316MAGNUS CHORD ORGAN - wanted with a passion!DWOVAX::ROSENBERGSET/VOLTAGE=220Wed Dec 18 1991 14:0125
    Hi there!

I'm looking for a special holiday gift for my Nephew (about 1 and 1/2
years old), and want to give him the ultimate in musical instruments:

	the:

		M A G N U S C H O R D O R G A N

Does anyone know where I can find one of these? Are they still being
manufactured? TOYS-R-US in our area never heard of them. No
substitutions allowed. I'm looking for that certain, air-driven,
slow-attack-which-forces-legato, cheezy, circle of fifth major and minor
    chords, plastic keys, vibration-like-an-electric-football-game musical
    masterpiece.

Help! Only 7 more shopping days...

    Thanks, and happy holidays.

    K.R.

P.S. Midi interface not required - yet.

I did'nt have time to look throughly for a topic
on this subject, so moderator please feel free to
    relocate.

I'm considering buying a sequencing package to run
on my Macintosh. I was wondering if anyone would
be willing to invite me over for the evening or
sometime on a weekend and show me their sequencing
software. I've gone to EU Wurlitzer and received the
demo from one of the salespersons on Performer. Because
the guy whizzed through the demo so quickly I don't
really remember much, except that who ever designed
the graphical portion of the UI did a nice job.

I'm getting a copy of the CUBASE demo. While this
will be nice to play with it might be better to
have someone knowledgeable about the product (and not
a salesman) showing me what it can do.

I like to get a demo on the following:

    	Performer
    	CUBASE
    	Master Track Pro

I don't have my copy of the Macbeat catalog here
so I can't remember the names of any of the
other mid to hi end software. So whatever else
    	fits in here.

This is my last day on contract and therefore I won't
be able to read this conference after today. I can be
reached at 508-772-4225. I live in Ayer, west of
    Acton/Concord area.

Maybe we could get a small group of others who would
also like to see a demo.

13.325looking for piano modulePCOJCT::RYANFri Jan 17 1992 12:1516
    Hi,

I'm looking to add some good piano sounds to my set-up. I'm interested
in both good acoustic and electric sounds.

Does anyone have a decent SGU they may be looking to sell. I'm
currently looking for something on the order of a EMU Preformer/+1 or
Roland P-330 Piano Module ( this may be the wrong Roland #). I'm
looking to spend in the area 300-400 for used piece.

I'd be willing to discuss a keyboard instead of an SGU is applicable,
but right now an SGU would better fit my needs.

    Thanks in advance,

13.326Looking for cheap studio time.DSM::RDAVISWed Jan 29 1992 12:5915

Looking for recommendations on a *cheap* 8-track studio in the
Boston area. My band (a rock/folk trio w/ drum machine) has been
working on instrumental tracks for about 10 songs. We're going
straight to stereo (all instruments direct into the board) on a
Beta hi-fi machine. The tracks sound pretty good to me, and what
I'd like to do now, is drop the stereo tracks onto 8-track and add
vocals (and maybe a couple of instrument overdubs). So what we
need is a reasonably good quality 8-track, nice vocal mike(s) and
good monitor speakers (preferably a couple of different kinds for
comparisons). *Don't* need a big studio room, fancy effects, or
any extra instruments (synths, drums, etc.). Thanks for any ideas.

I don't know how cheap you need to be. But, you might consider at
    least talking to the following:

Wayne Johnson	Allston Cassette Copy	(617) 783-4065
Akhil Garland	Platinum Productions	(617) 983-9999

Mention my name and they MIGHT give you a special deal. 'Course they
MIGHT charge you more, too ...

I am looking for a bass player in the San Jose, CA Area. You do not
have to be Stanley Clark or any of the above. We need a bass player
that will enjoy an electric, acoustic original project (kind of a
Boston sound, but different). We are tired of the look a like, sound alike
    projects.
As musicians we are very capable, but are not incredible, so this is what
we are looking for in a bass player, vocals are a plus. We have practice
space, and very good equipment. If you are interest in writing your
bass parts along contributing to a fun original project, please contact
    Jeff at Wldwst::Edwards.
