2093.0. "Help - Music Man Guitar Amp Buzzing" by PAVAX::SPRIGGS () Tue Aug 22 1989 15:57

    HELP!!!!
I HAVE A MUSICMAN AMP (RD112 65 WATTS) THAT HAS RECENTLY STARTED
MAKING A LOUD BUZZING SOUND WHENEVER MY GUITAR IS PLUGGED INTO IT
AND THE GAIN IS UP TO ABOUT THREE. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SCHEMATIC
OR EXPERIENCE WITH MUSICMAN AMPS?? SOLID STATE PREAMP STAGE AND
    TUBE OUTPUT.

Does it buzz only with that particular guitar/cord arrangement? Have
you changed cords? Have you tried another input source? Have you
turned up the amp without anything plugged into it?

My knee jerk reaction is that you either have a bad cord, or that your
guitar electronics have gone south in some form.

You may want to cross-post this in XYLAR::GUITAR as well.

I have copies of schematics for the 65 and the 130.
I'll dig them up and send you one. I would assume
the RD112 design isn't very different from the original
    	65. On the other hand.......

    re: Musicman amp

Excuse my ignorance, but is this a tube or solid state amp? If the
previous suggestions aren't it (bad cord, guitar, etc.), and it's a
tube amp, I'd suspect a bad tube. Seems to happen pretty often.
