1311.0. "Zmodem wanted" by ZUR01::BOLLIGER () Thu Sep 24 1992 11:36

    		( Searching ZMODEM for ST and VMS )

    Could someone give me a pointer where i could find Zmodem programs for
    the ST and Vax VMS ?

    Ps: i use WHACK between ST-> VAX and KERMIT but it is very slow...
        i can not have SSU enabled on the VAX ( Manager don't want it )
        and STRANSF must have SSU enabled i think.

1311.1VMS end is on VMSMKT::PRNSYS::LOMICKAJJeffrey A. LomickaThu Sep 24 1992 18:128
The VMS side is available from the Macintosh on-line library.
VMSMKT::MAC$ROOT:[COMMUNICATIONS.TOOLS] contais SZ.EXE and RZ.EXE.
Sources are there too, somewhere.

I don't know about the Atari end. I will eventually put ZMODEM in
WHACK for the Macintosh, but that will not likely be ported back to the
Atari, and definitely not this year. Possible tho.

1311.2STALKER supports ZMODEMPOWDML::STEILThu Sep 24 1992 22:298
    STALKER supports ZMODEM transfers between the VAX and ATARI ST.

    It's available from GRIBNIFF SOFTWARE in Hadley, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

    Sometimes I use WHACK, and sometimes STALKER.

1311.4it's part of the RUFUS packageUFHIS::BFALKENSTEINMon Sep 28 1992 14:4912

    You'll find the Terminal/Modem-Program RUFUS in the following
    directory:

    UFRCS1::DISK$FS:[FALKENSTEIN.ATARI.MODEM]RUFUS106.TOS

    extract it on your harddisk with a double-click. In one of the subdirs
    you'll find SZ.TOS and RZ.TOS for the Atari.
