Well... I've been spoiled by this notes conference... Depressingly, I won't
have access to it's notes or it's contributors after October 2'nd. I will be
transferring over to Quantum starting October 2'nd (still in Shrewsbury). It's
been 15-years working for DEC, and only about five accessing the notesfile -
I wish I had discovered the conference alot earlier! Though I can't complain
about what I've missed, just recognise what's been accomplished.

Anyway... I'd like to thank all the people that I've come in contact with,
and have had the opportunity to work with in that very short time. It's not
only been real and fun, but has been really fun.

I'd like also like to leave a channel open for future contacts.
"Have_Bass_Will_Travel". Did anybody say "X-DECJam"?

As of this date, Quantum hasn't officially passed out the the internet
addresses yet. Mine will probably be something like this:

US3RMC::"jderrico.tdh.qntm.com" , it's not clear yet...

Before the state gets their tax collectors out, I figured that I would leave
my will and testament in a safe place here:

I John D'Errico being of some mind and whatever sounds good,
                        leave the following:

For Rick Calcagni - I leave a Goatee maintanence kit, FretLight kit for all
those strings, and a Brian Rost "Book Of Anecdotes".

For Paul Cummings - A full time solo transcriber, key transposer, and string-
   changer.

Bill Buckley - I leave an amusement park that has a (pre-release) Guitar_and_Amp
testing_lab built right on the rollercoaster itself.

For Jeff Cooper - A guitar in the shape of his favorite Moto-X course, and to
help test drive all the rack equipment in Buck's Guitar_and_amp_testing_lab.

Joe Jas - I leave a round bass to go with his square one, and a box of tube
   coolers.

For Larry Vigneault - I leave a matching set of EL34's that look the same -
I really wanted those cobalts though...

Tom Testagrossa - The licence to the Rickenbacker name - so I can finally get
that Signature -V12 for cost + shipping.

For Tom Gallo - An upgrade for Dragon Dictate so all you need to do is just
hum the melody, and it know's what the rest of the chords will be.

Dave Blickstein - A Virtual keyboard with gloves, goggles, and beer holder.

Tom Desrochers and Greg House - Choice of their favorite solar powered stomp-
    boxes.

Man, all the goodbyes are really getting to me... First it was
    layoffs, now Quantum acquisitions, next?

Bye John, I wish you well. Hope Quantum treats you great!!!

Good luck to you John, even though you forgot me in your will, I wish
    you the best {:(=)

I expect we'll also be losing Rick Burati, and Neal Orsi in the Quantum
deal. Whatever happens, I want to wish everyone leaving the company the
best for the future. We should all get together some time and have a
    good old fashioned volume/sweat/rack-puke/DEC/formerDEC/JAM.

At least these guys have new jobs to go to.

Errr...Ron Burati. But thanks for thinking of me. Yeah, Quantum's
picking up my contract. For now anyway. Tick-tock, Arnie.

Well, since it probably won't be sunny around here until
next May, my solar powered stomp box is now for sale.

    	$100 or b/o please... ;^0

John, good luck at Quantum. Just about everyone I know of is
thrilled to be going so it sounds like there'll be alot of
    	highs coming your way!

And yes, just when is that Jam? We could get Miguel to run
    	it, for sure!

    	Take care,

John, best of luck at Quantum. Thanks for the EL34's too, but I'm
no longer a Marshall man ! maybe you can pass them on to Mark Jacques
since he's probably got plenty of sockets hungry for a good mate.

re-.1 Yea, I know what you mean by the lay off's- I sit
looking out the window of the cleanroom and had to see the
looks on all the faces when they(200 people) found out it
was there last day. This place can really suck sometime....

I will no longer be a member of this note, as I too am going to
Quantum. I am mostly a read only member, and have learned more in the
year active in this file than in the 5 years playing on my own. I will
    miss this file.

Peace-Jeff(the beginner midi-rack-puke thanks to all you)

JD - Best of luck man, and thanks for the guitar-shaped MX track or?
:-) Anyhow, I'll be on both sides of the Quantum fence - KDX200 will
be on DEC's net, but I'll have a workstation on the Quantum side also,
so, I'll be in touch. :-)

Jeff - I'll be seeing you around everyday, so I guess I don't need to
    say 'solong'. :-)
