Subject: For those of you with modems

This will be of interest to all of you with modems. This is a description of
a new music etc. bulletin board, posted for the sysop (I am but a user). The
system is hor[Dt, and worthwhile for all callers.

*************************************************
Hello, fellow BBS'ers.. I am writing you to tell you about
an all new MIDI/MUSIC BBS in Boston, Ma. Called "OnRecord".
-
OnRecord is the first BBS to approach the professional
musician, as opposed to only hobbyists.
Such features include:
1) Free fax service within the US. Upoload any picture
or text format and it will be faxed to wherever you want
   it to go within 24hrs.
2) A complete data base listing of Record Companies,
Entertainment Lawyers, Publishing Companies, clubs, Producers,
   Recording Artists etc..
3) We have assembled an Engineering Staff to answer any
and all questions from music production to operation
of the Synclavier. People like Dave VanSlke, a reputable
engineer, currently mixing everything for NBC's "Baywatch",
and some of the Berklee College of Music Faculty Members, like
Keith Maynard and Robin Cox, are all available for you to both
   chat with, and exchange mail.
4) The BBS is Multi-line, and offers chatting with fellow
users on-line in both conference and private rooms.
5) if you are local to Boston, you will find OnRecord an
excellent place to book recording studios, because we have
them OnLine in our studio section, and you will get a discount!!
6) OnRecord is a business, which has its pros and cons..
The good part of it, is that we sell music software on-line
at the guaranteed lowest and most outrageous prices, while,
unfortunately we have to pay for each callers call, being that
the system is on Business phonelines. This leads us to
a fee for membership, which is 30$ annually, which I assure you,
will be returned to anyone who decides the BBS is not worth it..
We can not lose money on phone bills, but we can return the favor
by selling you everything at our cost!!!!!! for members only!!!!
7) We have a DR.T's User group and sales Department. We are the only
BBS in existance authorized to sell Dr. T software and Hardware.
8) We support both Atari and Macintosh files, with an enphasis
on Mac, considering we have a CD ROM player with 3 600Meg CD's
rotated weekly that contain Mac PD/shareware files!!!
9) We run the system with a 700meg Macwren and a speedy MAC se/30,
and are awaiting all your messages and file transfers with room
   to spare....
10)We are currently building a patch library for sysnthesizers
like no other. By licensing patches, we will avoid any copyright infri
ngments. As the Production Manager for Bostown/Island Records,
I have found it extremely annoying not to see a BBS that can offer profes
sional music utilities such as patch libraries for studios
and a real quality recording/production tips section that can help
all of us learn from one another..I invite you to join
in, fee or no fee, your welcome to add your comments in any
   of our message bases.....
11) And, FInally, we only opened last Month, that being April,
and happily await new callers to join in....
Well on behalf of the OnRecord staff, I invite you to give us a call.
All Callers are welcome, musician or not, and we are happy to have
NoN-registered callers participate in our chat rooms and
message bases.. I hope you find the time to dial us at 2400/1200/300
Baud 24 hours a day, at
                      617-324-7310
        Peace....... take care
                            Ogie Tudor, your Senior Sysop.
