1733.0. "Something like MacDraw" by HPSCAD::GATULIS (Frank Gatulis) Fri Sep 30 1988 15:50

    I'm wondering if anyone could tell me which piece of Amiga
    software would give similar capability to what you get in
    MacDraw. Primary use would be for slides, flows, simple
    diagrams etc.

    Thanks in advance-

    	My first guess would be to try Aegis Draw, but I've heard some
    nasty things about Aegis lately. Another possibility is Deluxe
    Paint II, but it isn't as good at object orientation.
    	Before you try these, I suggest you download the public domain
    program MCAD. I don't know how good it is, but it seemed pretty
    good from what I saw. Download it, and if it isn't what you want,
    head for your dealer. Good luck.

1733.2Maybe this...HYSTER::DEARBORNTrouvez MieuxFri Sep 30 1988 16:509
    Professional Draw is coming from Gold Disk, the people who bring
    you Professional Page.

    It sounds like what you, and I, are looking for. I don't know anything
    about availability or specs. There was only a brief blurb about
    it in AmigaWorld.

1733.3go with Draw PlusLEDS::ACCIARDIFri Sep 30 1988 17:067

    As an owner of both Aegis Draw Plus and X-Cad, and an infrequent
    tinkerer with MacDraw, I think Draw Plus is a lot closer to what
    you want. Draw Plus isn't even in the same universe as X-Cad, which
    is a Real Cad program.

    From what I gather, Draw Plus is probably adequate. I was hesitant
    because some of the other notes in this conference suggest that
    Ageis software isn't very good. I'd eventually like x-Cad but
    not in the very near future.

    Thanks
