    MEMGUARD.LZH - from the docs...
    
    MemGuard  III  checks  the first 100 longwords, in particular location
    $00000004, for random trashing.  Discovering any change an Alert comes
    up  giving  you  the  choice  to  leave  the vectors as they are or to
    restore  their  original  contents.   Unlike  other tools of this kind
    MemGuard  III  does  not  run  as task, but rather links itself to the
    level  3 IRQ, checking the vectors each frame.  Therefore virtually no
    processing  time  is  wasted,  no  extra  memory  is used (very little
    actually, but below 1000 bytes - the original MemWatch II needed about
    4000  bytes  while  running)  and  the checking takes place even while
    task-switching  is forbidden.  Furthermore most actions overriding the
    vector table are discovered almost instantly.

    DirWork V1.01                                                
     A fast small simple efficent DirUtility that get directories
     off floppies faster than FSDirs(below).  As well as being   
     feature packed.
    
    Fast & Smooth Dirs V1.3                                   
     For floppy users.  Speeds up and cuts down grind         
     by heaps.  Only has to be executed once.                 
     From then on all directory reads from List to the file   
     requestors in programs are faster and smoother for drive.
     Just time the difference and listen to the drive between
     normal operation and operation after FSDirs has been
     installed.
    
    VirusMemKill V27
     A very small very intelligent virus memory detector/killer
     for the startup-sequence.  Knows 27 viruses personally but
     what makes this program is its ability to dectect new
     viruses as they come along.  Simple quick easy way to stay
     virus free.
    
    NoInfo V1.0
     A quick hack that stops all those annoying .info files from being
     produced by programs.
    
    CHALLENGE.LZH - Like the commercial game Shanghai; you slowly go mad
    trying to remove matching pairs of tiles from a pile.  
    
    In an attempt to simplify people's lives a bit, I extracted the doc or
    read_me or whatever file from each archive and copied them seperately
    to TAPE with the same name as the archive, but with a .TXT suffix. 
    This might make it easier to browse without having to continually go
    back and forth from NOTES to see what an archive does.  You could just
    read the text file _before_ downloading.

	Thanks for the doc extraction, before I had to transfer the files to my Amiga, extract the files, zoo the files, transfer back to 5.25, and then bring them in to print out... (Phew!.) Ed

	Want to convert those IFF pictures (including HAM) to GIF format for viewing on MS-DOS PC's or Amiga's? IFF2GIF is a cli-based utility that does this. Included in the archive is also ShowGIF to display GIF pictures on an Amiga (however, hamgif is faster - WJG::AMIGA:GIFPICS.ARC) and some text files explaining what GIF is. 	A few morsels...... SUPER_CHEAPHD.LZH The same old CheapHD/MAKEHD project but with bus buffering and status leds on the controller. Uses the driver and formatter from the MAKEHD.lzh archive IE.LZH Yet another icon editor with features not found in other icon editors (according to the author) DISKSPIN.LZH The author says that "some" R/W errors are caused by crud getting on the surface of floppies and that this crud can be sometimes(?) removed by spinning the disk for extended periods. It wipes the surface with the fibre pads inside the disk casing. A couple of other disk utility functions are built in. HELP.LZH Install it in the C: directory, and, when stuck on a DOS command type either "HELP" or "HELP <command>". Its a teensy bit like VMS help. Apart from the cheapHD update, I cant vouch for the suitability of this stuff. cheers, Glenn

	I uploaded A64V101N.LZH to TAPE:: yesterday. It is the 64 emulator that will run on any 680xx system. 200% performance improvement when running 64 software on the A2620!!

It will also enable you, as an graphical designer, to create good looking fonts for your Amiga with a nice font editor. The status of the project ------------------------- This is the very first public release of this project, which implies: * it is not fully tested and finished, so you might encounter some "Software Failures", even though most parts of the programs and the libraries in this archive has been stable for quite some time (the beta testers are acknowledged at the end of this file). * that some basic functionality is still missing, but should be enough for most programmers. * that the documentation is probably not sufficient and proof read. A basic requirement for me to fix problems with this project, that may arise, is that I know that they exists.
