3859.0. "CPM assembler needed or fail!!" by GIDDAY::MORAN (I'm not bad-I'm just drawn that way!) Tue Jun 19 1990 08:05

For a college project I have to build a Z-80 based microcomputer.

As there are unfortunately no Z-80 cross assembler (that I could find)
for the Amiga I thought that I take up the sugestion that I found in
Amiga_Tech and run the CPM Z-80 assembler M80/L80 under the Cpm
simulator on the Amiga. eg. SimCPM(fish#186)

Unfortunately I have tried everywhere to get M80 and I cannot find it
(there is'nt a CPM notes conference I can try either!!)

I was wondering if some kind hearted sole who has a copy of it and
woul'nt mind uploading onto the net please EMAIL me on RIPPER::MORAN

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Shaun.

Or, if you have a C compiler, you can grab a copy of a Z80/6502
(selected at compilation time) assembler from

			PRNSYS::RELEASED_TOOLS:[ASM]ASM.C

There is also an MMS build file located there, too.

   Good luck!

Other choices could be to run LASM (a PD product) under SimCPM. There
are other free assemblers available. See the BISON::VT180 conference -
It isn't very active but contains a lot of info on CPM tools.

One of the best sources for CP/M related information is still FOG
(once First Osborne Group, since expanded) located in Daly City,
    Calif.
