2947.0. "Animation Prog from Domark" by BAHTAT::BOOTH (Simpson,Simpson...French is it?) Fri Sep 22 1989 08:39

    Domark (Remember them. They had success on 64 and speccy (don't
    know about amiga though)) have released / are realising a new Animation
    package for the Amiga.

    Instead of creating an animation sequence, frame by frame, it will
    allow you to take one scene, and then another, and it will create
    the scenes in between.

    I was given the example of a plane on the runway, and then in the
    air. This would then be animated to show it taking off.

    I read that in New computer Express a few weeks ago. It was confirmed
    in Amiga format (I bought last night.).
    If anyones interested, I'll bring in the Mag on Monday, and try
    and give you more information.

    It sells at #40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Too good to be true I think. Then again, I'm a crap artist!

2947.1Sound just like FantavisionLODGE::LENDavid M. LenFri Sep 22 1989 12:574
    Sounds similar to what Fantavision does. I think in animators lingo
    its called 'tweening, or something about doing Key frames. Fantavision
    also allows for sound, but only works in lo-res. I bought it for
    $39.00.

    So whats going on here? Can we have a little more input on this
    new animation software you purchased. Does it run in Hi-res? Is
    it simple to use? Is the documentation good? etc...

    I haven't got the program. I have read about it twice. Once in New
    Computer Express and again in Amiga Format. I'll find the article and
    post all of the information on monday.

    Well here it is.

    Domark have signed with Broderbund in the U.S., to release FANTAVISION.
    Its main use is to create sequences by 'tweening' (right .1). It
    avoids the usual process of animation of drawing every frame in
    a movement.

    FANTAVISION is priced at #39.99 from Domark / Broderbund, who can
    be reached on 01 780 2222.
