1278.0. "Pagesetter V1.1e" by DICKNS::MACDONALD (WA1OMM Listening 52.525) Mon Mar 28 1988 15:06

I received my upgrade to Pagesetter over the weekend. The current
version is 1.1e. If you've been using V1.0, you'll want this upgrade.
There are a number of bug fixes (not identified in the Addendum to the
manual) and several enhancements. The most notable enhancement is
to the printer routines. When printing a document you can select
either one of two options. The first option automatically adjusts
the pixel density to accommodate printers using different wire heads.
For example, my 24-pin LQ-850 prints an image the same size as my
Epson RX-80. Alternatively, you can select a WYSIWYG print option.
I call it the "cute" mode. On my LQ-850 its prints the 8.5x11 page
in an area approximately 1/8 the size of the sheet - all perfectly
    legible!

Another enhancement is the ability to define a page, save it,
and load it later. In earlier versions, there was no way to save
a page template. Now there is!

Oh, Gold Disk has also added piracy protection - a similar scheme
used by Marauder II where you enter the word from a particular section
    of the manual.

I was wondering what the difference was in the two versions. Thanks
    for the update.

Is there any way to 'duplicate' a box? There have been several times
when I had a predefined box with text, and I wanted to make several
copies of it. There didn't seem to be any way to do it.

Another thing, do the window gadgets REALLY push the screen to the
back? In the old version, it only pushed the 'work area' to the
back, not allowing you to get to your disk icons to do any kind
    of disk work.

I've noticed a bug with the font selection. Often, it will list
the same font several times. Has this been fixed?

(I should probably just upgrade and stop asking questions.)

I'll check on some of those items for you. Not sure about the boxes,
but I believe they can be added to the page definition. Again, I
    will check.
