972.0. "WXmodem term program needed." by HOUSE::FRACTAL () Sat Dec 12 1987 01:53

    Could somebody upload a terminal program that supports WXmodem?
    I here that this protocol is much faster as well as more reliable
    than Xmodem. If possible could you upload it using Xmodem? I can't
    download arcs that are variable length.

    	Thanks,

    P.s. Comm would be nice.

972.1WXmodem only good for PLINK DL'ING.LEDS::ACCIARDISat Dec 12 1987 03:4012
    I'd be glad to post Comm or ACO (ACO = Comm w/enhancements for
    conferencing), but you should know that WXmodem will not work on
    VMS or Compuserve. Or even between two Amigas running Comm. Comm
    can only receive WXmodem, not transmit.

    Aegis' DIGA! terminal will support WXmodem in it's next upgrade.

    As far as I know, WXmodem is a PeopleLink (PLINK) exclusive. Still
    interested?

972.2Ok how about ZmodemHOUSE::FRACTALSun Dec 13 1987 03:417

    How about Zmodem. That's faster than Xmodem isn't it? I think I've
    seen a VMS version around somewhere (Wecker's directory?). Can we
    manage a term program with Zmodem?

    thanks again,

    Gary (?) Sumrall, the author of VT100 v2.7, says that v2.8 will
    have ZModem support, and will be released around the end of the
    year.
972.4Sounds like a present to me.HOUSE::FRACTALMon Dec 14 1987 23:576

    great! (as long as somebody uploads a fixed length version)

    thanks,
