| I've got PHASAR. I didn't notice currency exchange features, but wasn't
looking. It's an OK program I guess. The problem with it is that it
separates income categories from expense categories (in true accounting
fashion). The nice thing is that categories span accounts. Although I
don't agree with traditional account management philosophy, I find the
program an aid in keeping my finances in order.
One nice feature it has is that you can treat your charge cards
like checks and have them deducted from current balances. When
you write a check for that credit card it automatically adjusts
the appropriate accounts. Then you can use the checkbook balance
feature to validate you credit card bill.
The bad side of it is that it is not too "Amigasized". The mouse will
only pull the main menu. Thereafter it acts like the arrow keys.
However there is some nice error checking. For instance, if you
enter a dollor amount in the check number field it will ask you
if you really want to do that. A typed operations are base
on minimum compare parsing.

Catagories are orthagonal to account. If you wish to alocate account
to categories you may. ie.
Income Expence Cash
Cat 1 Cat 2 Cat 3 ... Cat A Cat B Cat C ....
account 1
account 2
account 3
...
..
.
When viewing categories you may have a monthly total or a year
to date tolal of the category, category budget, or diff.
