4637.0. "AV/Digital ad on PCN!" by SNOFS1::POOLE (Over the Rainbow) Tue Jun 04 1996 05:00

Sorry if this has already been NOTEd. Searching ::DIGITAL from where I
live can be more than a little painful. I did look, but not REAL hard.

Anyway, I think I say it suggested here a while back and wanted to
mention that I say it today. GREAT exposure.

Bill - did you do this?

    Later,

I assume I am the Bill you are referring to.

We in Corporate/Brand advertising are working with DDB to
develop an effective Web advertising scheme
overall. Point Cast was on the radar screen and the Alta Vista launch -
which is so web centric - became the perfect vehicle for our first Point
Cast advertisement - so that is an ISBU ad, not Corporate.

With so many campaigns, I believe that you will see some like ISBU use
the Web as their primary advertising medium, others like Corporate will
use Tv, Radio, some print and web; and most of the other advertising
camapigns will use a mix heavily weighted toward print and some web.

I've been looking for this ad without luck on my PCN screen saver. Do
new ads come down with downloads of news etc.?

I saw an AltaVista ad on ESPNET SportsZone this morning. I think it
read something like "Not having information is no longer an excuse."

There's an AltaVista ad in the online Wall Street Journal today as well.
