Can you post this in notes (askenet or your mailing list).

This is a legitimate cause! I call the foundation and verified
it's on the up and up.

I know how us x-decies, current decies and other professionals
employees have tons of business cards and enjoy community causes.

Thanks

Jerry

Subject: A Worthy Cause

The day care center where I take my son, Nathaniel, is collecting business
cards for a little boy Craig Shergold. He is a seven year old little boy
with a brain tumor and very little time to live. Craig turned in a
wish to the Children's Make A Wish Foundation expressing his desire to
have an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most business
cards received by an individual.

So, if you'd like to help a little boy's wish come true please
clean out your drawers, filing cabinets and rolodex's and send your
old business cards to pass on to Craig.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah, right.

Craig Shergold, if he exists, is probably 40 years old by now.
This hoax has been around the net for 10 years that I know of.
First it was postcards and now business cards.

Forget it.
2733.2It's NOT REAL, folks!QUARK::LIONELFree advice is worth every centThu Oct 21 1993 14:537
This is indeed an old, tired hoax. I'm leaving this note in the file because
I want everyone to see this and to not only NOT forward this on and post
it everywhere, but if you do get it, write back to whomever sent it to you
and tell them to stop, and then to do the same to whomever sent it to them,
and so on.

See note 676 for a previous incarnation of this hoax.
