1211.0. "Help, I am desperate.!!" by SFCPMO::NGUYEN () Mon Oct 01 1990 17:04

    Four months ago I flew to Dallas for job interview, and I lost the
    airline ticket; I had to purchase one way ticket to get back home. I
    used my visa to buy this ticket, it cost $300. The saleswoman told me
    that they would refund to me if either the ticket is found or nobody
    used the lost ticket in the next 90 days. Well, a week after I got
    back home, they found my ticket and sent it to me. I then filled the
    refund form. The airline refund the money to Digital. Now I got stuck
    with $300 loan which I am struggling to keep up with the payment, I was
    one month behind my payment. I tried to call Dallas, but it seems
    nobody know what to do. It has been four or five months already, but I
    still do not see or hear any thing from Digital. Is there any way I
    can get my money back? With all the interests I just cannot keep up
    with the payment anymore. By the way I filled out all the forms and
    sent them to Digital in Dallas long time ago, but still nothing happen.

    This sounds awfully simple. You are a DEC employee, Right??
    Submit an expense voucher. Just list the return trip ticket
    expenses in the Air Travel Column. You do have a receipt, right.

    You should be able to walk that through your system in a few hours.
    You do have a manager, right?? Get him/her working on it.
1211.3Agree with .2 should be easy.HAMPS::NOBLETue Oct 02 1990 08:3121

    	As someone who has lost an Airline Ticket, I agree with .2

    	I reported loss to:-

    	Local Police.
    	Airline.
    	Digital.( By telephone)

    	Purchased return ticket, filled in expense claim, with copies of
    	"loss report"

    	Expenses paid up within 30 Days.

    	I have no idea whether the ticket got used or not, as the
    	purchasing agent was Corporate Travel, and not myself.

    	Did not have to wait 90 days or anything, to see if it got used.

    	Fill in an expense claim for $300, and supply the receipts and any
    	supporting documentation such as copies opf loss reports.
1211.4In need of LVP16 manualBSS::GROVERThe CIRCUIT_MANThu Aug 26 1993 19:4222
    Seems as good a place as any... though I wouldn' call it completely
    desperate....

    I am in need of locating a manual for an LVP16 plotter.. I realize
    there aren't to many of these things around, these days, but I am in
    need of a manual.

    If anyone can point me in the right direction, great. If someone might
    have one of these gems and/or a manual, I would appreciate either a
    photocopy or the real thing.

    Send mail to BSS::GROVER (to let me know you have such a beast)

    OR send manual to:(interoffice would be fine)
