10.0. "no "someone" at Digital" by GVASA::DTL () Sat Mar 02 1985 21:01

Our mind is to have things going fine. In the "Welcome booklet", aka "You and
Digital", aka "Livret d'Accueil" etc.. (aka stands for "also known as")

In the French Livret d'Accueil, it is written that there is no "somemone"
within our Company. When you hear someone [:-)] saying "I was told..." or
"someone told me that", PLEASE stop him/her and ask who is he/she.

That prevents rumors to run all around and destroy a working mind.

That is the *ONLY* way to get the true facts... if it was only done
more.... I do not know how many times I have already had to ask.. who is
this somebody... a ghost in your file cabinet?

Can anyone provide the exact quote or pointer to the reference
in .0 ? In the copy of "Digital and You" I have at hand,
I couldn't find it. However, I did find the following possibly
pertinent quotes:

[from "Welcome to Digital" p. 2]

"Digital owes it success and continued growth to many things,
but most important are the employees who have given so much
over the years. Our employees have been the prime contributors
to Digital's progress and remain the company's greatest source
of confidence in the exciting years ahead. We are gratified
by their continuing enthusiasm and support."

"What kind of a place is Digital Equipment Corporation? Digital
is a place with a spirit of openness and informality".

10.6HUMAN::DTLMon May 12 1986 14:305
    it comes from the French "Welcome to Digital" handbook. I will write
    down the exact text when I am back to Paris. (still here today for
    business reasons)
