1908.0. "Mgmt. Spec. Language. Help !!!" by BYENG0::NGUYEN () Tue Dec 10 1991 13:34

Hello DECmcc'ers,

I have to create the service interface of a simple AM (.MS file).
This AM should thereafter tell me - with the SHOW directive - in
which operating status (STOP or RUN) my entity currently is.
Dependent on its response, I will then possibly restart or stop
it with the directives ENABLE or DISABLE.

I went fairly through the chapter 4 of the "Mgmt. Module Progr."
manual but did not find an appropriate example. The VAXLSE with
the provided MSL template did not help me further either because
the placeholders are left up to you to fill out. I would appreciate
your help in the following:

1/ Could I specify a SHOW directive with two RESPONSE(s) since the
   EXCEPTION does not fit well in that meaning here ?

2/ What do the ENABLE and DISABLE directive specifications look
   like as I don't expect any RESPONSE, EXCEPTION, etc. from the
   entity ?

Hope that I did not miss something here. Thanks.

Quoc
