    MCCEMS021   VMS 5.5
    
    I have a customer that attempted to install mccems021 on a vms 5.5
    system, he got as far as installing nmcc and the installation fails,
    it looks like the version of nmcc this kit tries to install is an
    update, the install fails because there is no nmcc installed yet,
    is this correct ???
    
    Also to save time can we install nmcc v2.2, then proceed with the
    mccems021 installation.
    
    The failure he is seeing is nmcc$home is not defined during the
    install, we can manually define this logical and get by the first error
    then we have problems with file pointers later in the installation.

The NMCC on the kit is not an update.  It is a full installation.
If you can provide a log file (took::pelagatti) of the installation, I can take a look
at it.  There have been some problems with this installation.

    install the kit because the installation cannot create a
    nmcckernel account in uaf, when the install fails he gets the
    following error messages:

    This customer just updated me on the following:
    
    The customer rebooted his system and DNS and GKS never started, he
    checked the system out and found that vms directories were not 
    defined properly, next this customer reinstalled DNS and GKS and
    rebooted, everything came up fine, next this customer installed
    mccems021 without a problem.
