2646.0. "ACCVIO in 1.2.15 running the 1.2 demo kit" by SEVERN::BREWTON () Fri Mar 27 1992 15:26

    I just installed DECMCC X1.2.15 on VMS 5.5-1E7 and DECWindows Motif 1.1
    EFT. I also installed the 1.2 demo kit and when I type from the V1.2
    demo acccount:

    $man/ent/int=decw

    I get the following error:

     software error: unable to assign widget events for console thread.
     %SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=1C, virtual
    address=0008DCB1, P
    C=00000000, PSL=00000000
    %MCC-F-PM_NULEVTERR, software error: unable to assign widget events for
    console
    thread.

    If I try to run the Iconic interface in the non demo account, then
    everything works fine.

    Any Suggestions?

    Thanks
    Steve

    Well, you certainly have lots of variables.

    Is the VMS version you are using SSB?

    We don't officially support Motif. Espesially Field Test Motif.

    Check protections of files. Something may have got the wrong
    protection.

    Run the MCC_AUDIT procedure from the DEMO account. Maybe the account
    doesn't have the correct quotas (yes I know the demo comes from here
    but the person who made the most recent changes isn't in the group
    anymore).

    You can copy MCC_AUDIT from
    	NETS::USER$NETS:[MCC011.S-KIT]MCC_AUDIT.COM

    Also, you are running an internal baselevel of DECmcc. We can't be sure
    that the demo works in all internal baselevels either.

    MCC_AUDIT runs fine. I suspect I have a DECTEM resource problem
    that's in DECWindows Motif.

    Thanks

    FIXED.

    I re-installed 5.5 SSB.
