2044.0. "VMS t1.2.4 Install Fail - invrepos ID" by RDOSW1::SYSTEM () Tue Jan 07 1992 18:35

    Install problem with VMS T 1.2.4

The MCC_STARTUP_BMS startup procedure for DECmcc T1.2.4 is now ending.

   Completing DECmcc BMS Postinstallation Procedure ...

   Beginning DECmcc BMS Installation Verification Procedure ...

   The IVP for DECmcc BMS will now be run.

%VMSINSTAL-E-IVPFAIL, The IVP for MCCBMST V1.2 has failed.

    Next, after reviewing notes, I had already disabled the DECMCC-BMS pak
    from VTX; it shows canceled. The MCC 1.2 Pak (with the t1.2.4 kit on
    PPINC::) is Active. Regarding the two Paks, I do get 'unable to combine
    multiple licenses' from LMF at boot time.

    The system: VS3100 m48, 16MB, 3-RZ33, Newly (yesterday) installed
    VMS 5.4-3, DNS 1.1 local server.

    So, looking through related notes, I've done the following with no
    success:

    Re-copied the MCC_FDICTIONARY.BPT file from the kit (save set D).

    Invoked: @MCC_STARTUP_BMS ENROLL

    		which produced the same 'invalid repository ID...' message
    		stream
    Help?
     Jeff.

    Is the date REALLY correct? Is it really January 7, 1991 ???
                                                         ^^^^

    Since all Repositories are timestamped this could be the problem.

    -Matt.
2044.2It was the date/time.RDOSW1::SYSTEMWed Jan 08 1992 13:275
    That was it. After I set the date correctly, and re-started the system
    & DECmcc, all ran without error. The IVP also ran without error.

    Thanks Matt.
