795.0. "Good Luck to the SERP folks" by AIMHI::RAUH (I survived the Cruel Spa) Thu May 28 1992 20:50

To many of the folks who are taking the early retirement program, I
would like to wish you all a good life and a thanks for your help. I am
going to miss many of these people. They have been my mentors, my
friends, and people who, like me, fight the daily battles of making a
    living of the common man.

To them, all of them, may the sun shine in your face, the wind blow at
your backs, and the rain fall at night when no one can see.

    God Bless.

    Your Friend

    George

I too wish those who are SERPing farewell, and good luck.

I don't know what led to your choice, and I really don't know what
shakedowns will happen here in the near future, but I applaud your
courage to do whatever you feel is right for you.

    And you will be missed....

re .1:

Shakedowns? I don't think it'll come to that, unless the mob infiltrates DEC.

no I mean shakedown. it can mean "to become accustomed esp. to new
surroundings or duties" and "to bring about a reduction of" and "to
    give a shakedown test to".

I too wish them good health, good fortune and happiness. Of those
individuals I am aware of that are leaving us they will not need good
luck, their talents and experience will do them in good stead.

Those of us who remain may be in need of good luck as we try to fill
their shoes in the days ahead.
