347.0. "The Night We Never Met" by 12368::michaud (Jeff Michaud, Pathworks for NT) Fri Oct 08 1993 18:18

This one stars Matthew Brodrick, Anabella Scorsasi, Jeanne Tripplehorn
(looks completely different than what she looked like in Basic
Instinct), Justine Bateman, and a couple of cameos.

Brian is an engaged bachlor who doesn't want to give up his rent
controlled bacholor pad (setting is NYC) so he decides to turn
the apt into a timeshare by subleasing certain nights out of the
week to other people and keeping two nights out of the week for
him and his buddies for poker and sports parties.

This was billed as a comedy, but I found it to be more of
a drama. Nothing great, but as usual, worth a watching.

I rented this one and the ONLY enjoyable parts for me was when
either Mathew Broderick or Annabelle Sciorra were on the screen.
preferably together...ie at the deli....The rest of it was terrible.
Bateman can't act and the other guy in it who was excellent in
(Sleeping with the Enemy as the good guy) played such a louse in this
    .......yeakk!
They should have had More scenes with the 2 afore mentioned actors
in the movie. There was some nice* chemistry at the very very end
with Broderick and Sciorra FINALLY coming together.

I see all Matthew Broderick's movies because I love the way he looks,
so I saw this when it first came out. I thought it was only so-so. I
didn't quite cut-it in any department, but Matthew looked cute, as
usual, and did a good job.

I wish somebody would offer him a decent role!! I think Matthew
Broderick is too cute and too talented to be wasted in some of the dumb
    movies he's been in lately.

    Reply to Lorna;

I agree. Did you ever see "LadyHawke" I know its old but Michele
Pfeiffer and Rutger Hauer were also in it and it was not bad.

Matthew Broderick was so funny in it with his conversations with God.

I think he's very nice looking, is a pretty good actor! and he is
    VERY appealing on the screen.....
Must be his soft brown eyes....yummmmm
