1131.0. "Multiplicity" by VAXCPU::movies (The Ramones) Thu Jul 11 1996 04:44

This one stars Michael Keaton and Andie McDowell, and opens
	July 17th.

Michael Keaton plays a man who I believe finds there is not
enough time to juggle everything, so he goes to a doctor/
scientist friend who generates two clones of Michael. Those
two clones then also get cloned, resulting in one original
	and four (4) copies.

The comedy appears to result from no one else knowing the
main character (Michael) has clones of himself taking the
place of the original in various situations (at the office
in meetings, in the bedroom with the wife, etc etc).

The director is Harold Ramis, who also directed Groundhog
Day (which also starred Andie McDowell), and of course
various other comedies (Ghostbusters, Stripes, etc), and
he usually in the least has a cameo in the films he directs.

sounds like a good premise for a movie.
Harold Ramis is excellent! I used to love him in Second City!( Comedy
    show )

Stripes, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day... all excellent films. Micheal Keaton is
great at these sorts of roles, as well. So, looks like being a good film !

I saw this film last night and I left the theater with aching cheeks
    from laughing so hard.

I thought I was going to be engrossed in trying to catch any
cinematography glitches, but I was too caught up in the story and humor
    to notice!

    I give it a 4 out of 5.
