| In defense of Stan, the Wednesday before Black Monday, he put a special
recording on his telephone hotline with appropriate warning of the
impending trouble.
Normally Stan only has one recording a week. It is quite unusual to put
on a special one and was indicative of the unusual conditions.

| Stan is very telegenic and uses the media to maximum advantage.
I recall a couple years ago when DEC had just sunk below 100 and IBM
was lounging in the same area and Stan said, very emphatically:
"Do Not Go Bottom-Fishing in these Stocks!". Good advice, no?
But I don't subscribe to Stan's newsletter -- personally I find stock
picking just isn't my game. But for those who do that sort of thing,
you could do a lot worse.

| Hi
The Investech market letter published by Jim Stack, I find to be very
good with clear cut advice. Currently he is bullish and about
60 % invested.
I am not aware of his official long term track record...see Hurlbert
for that. However, I find his information credible and recall him
being disinvested at the time of the crash...Oct. 1987.
Regards, Jim
