    			Saturday 13th June

    Windlesham Fete, organised by 'Saturday Club' (who are they ?)

    I've not been to this before, but this is its 3rd year running.
    There will be a number of Stratos replicas there, and I presume
    some other Classic and/or Race cars, as there are trophies to be won.

    I'll go along purely to meet other owners/builders of Stratos kits.

1784.7ESBS01::RUTTERRut The NutWed Jun 10 1992 17:539
    Due to start from about 1:30 onwards. Directions :-

    From Camberley/Bagshot, heading up the A30, past Pantiles,
    across the newish small roundabout, then it's first right
    (after the Garden Centre) on the Chertsey Road (or maybe
    the Chobham Road ?). Follow that road along towards Windlesham
    and the Recreation Ground will be on the right, before the village.

1784.10What kind of Oval racing are you after?NEWOA::SAXBYVote for Perot : He's got $3B!Wed Jun 10 1992 19:326

    Aldershot, but I don't know the address.

    Not quite like Indy, though!

    Well I'm used to going to dirt track ovals down in Portsmouth and,
    although quite fun, I would much rather go to somewhere up here where I
    don't get covered in dust all the time.

    I don't think it will compare to Indy racing, as you say, when I went
    to Indianapolis the race track was huge, with great high banking curves
    and grandstands all over the place. Not really the same as sitting on
    the side of a valley getting bitten my loads of creepy crawlies and
    watching Mini's and Escorts bombed round in vague circles!

    cheers,

    	MattB
