This morning's Independent carries an advert for a new Saab 900S. Says it has a new tech called a light pressure turbo. Power output between the injection models and the std turbo's. Anyone know what this is? Does it overcome the dreaded turbo lag? Is it little more than a marketing ploy for cheaper turbo? Is it a 16Valve job? Steve - (Saab 900 driver).

The new version is designed to replace the "S" version. Seems to be a halfway house between the "normal" Turbo and the normally aspirated car. Lower boost pressure, don't know whether lag has been done away with...... no doubt price will be higher than the normally aspirated car. I read somewhere that all SAAbs were going 16 valve.... true? or false? |
