433.0. "Cheap VW spare parts." by AYOV18::GMCCULLOCH () Thu Jan 05 1989 19:16

There is a company in London which supplies most volkswagen spares for
about half their normal price.

The spares parts are not original volkswagen but are instead
British made replicas.

Does anybody have the address of this company.

                            Gordon.

I must admit I have not used them before but they offer Quality
parts with large discounts for all types.
Also if you send off to them you can get a Privileged Customer
card which gives you more discount as well.
They are advertised in VW MOTORING and VW/AUDI MAGAZINE.

            Hope this helps,

    Hi !!

If I can give you an advice, be carreful with the parts you want. If it
is parts of engine DO NOT buy them if it is not the real vW
manufacturer. If it is something like seat, lights, ... you can buy
them because there are cheaper (It's just a copy but the finitions are
    not the same).

I've got an experience with a PORSCHE 914 engine (a VW one of 1.7l).
The first time I bought a cylinder head in a cheap shop which use to
sell copy parts. I've paid 2.000 Fr. The car runs for 5 000 Km and the
engine stopped. The first reparation, cost me 5 000 Fr. The second time
I've bought an original one It cost me 3 200 Fr for the cylinder head,
and I have to change one cylinder and one piston. Now I,ve had no more
    problems.

I hope this will help you
