Question, in note 164.9 I found an command (set debug), that will collect all decevent activities in a logfile, called DIA_ACTIVITY.LOG. This command can be executed on OpenVMS-systems. Is there a similar command for the unix-version of decevent? I cann't find it in the documentation. Thanks for any help Hannes

Hannes You should use set dbg. I'll be honest. The information you see in the activity log will be of little or no use to the normal user. It lists the routines and engine code within the tool. It does not give any information related to the translation or analysis of a error log. We used the activity log during the early phaseof the tool to get some idea of what was breaking when it went belly up. As the engines are realativly stabile now, we have turned the activilty log off for normal operation. If the debug flag is left on, disk space will decrease in a rapid manner. HTH Keith | |||||

Keith, Thanks for your reply! I tried to use this command to record any activity of decevent, because so far, I hadn't seen any (DEC)event on my system. regards Hannes |
