| Does anyone know the phone number for the Mass. Registry of Vital
Records??
To clear up a chain of ownership, I am trying to find a fellow that
lived in Peabody, MA from before 1971 till about 1993/94. City offices
at Peabody had not heard from him since 1994, and they do not have a
death certificate on him. They suggested the Registry as they list all
deaths throughout the state..
Any other ideas on finding this person are welcome!

| Only one match in Mass on switchboard, but a whole bunch in the country.
I have talked to the one match, but they had never heard of him. Too
many matches on just the last name to be useful (yet).
The post office said "even if we had a forwarding address, once it
expires, we can't give it out".
Hmm, I think I would need his exact birthday for RMV or PD check...

If you mean the Public Records Division, you can find it at
http://www.state.ma.us/sec/pre/preidx.htm
The phone number is probably in there somewhere. Check around in
http://www.state.ma.us/ and you may find other useful information.

| Well, still no luck...
It was suggested that I call the county courthouse.. Can anyone
tell me what county Peabody is in?? A phone number for the courthouse
would be even better!!

| Peabody is in Essex County. According to the state map, courthouses
are located in Salem and Newburyport at a minimum.

| Well, I am almost there!!
I found the FAA pilot database online, and found that he still has
a valid pilot's license and a Lynn MA, address. A call to that city
hall elections office confirmed his birthdate, address and that he
voted last November. As I already knew there wasn't an entry in
www.switchboard.com for him in MA, so I asked if there were any other
voters living at that address. Sure enough, there was one... And he
was listed in switchboard.com.
I called.... and the number has been disconnected!! ARRRGGG I sent
a return receipt letter to the address anyways. At least if they have
moved, there should be an active forwarding address at the post
office..
