p.s.   Alternate directions to rear entrance:  Take Meadowbrook
parkway south to exit M1E, Old Country Road.  Go east on Old Country
Road, then make a right turn onto Merrick Ave. (At this intersection
you will see a restaurant called the Baci Cafe on the right.)  Go
south on Merrick Ave, you will see Eisenhower Park on your left, and
you'll pass a white office building with a sign "1600 Stewart Ave" on
the right. Look for sign that says "Nassau Coliseum -->"; turn right
onto Charles Lindberg Blvd.  Stay to the left and you will see signs
for Coliseum parking.  You will make a sharp turn to the left, and the
parking lot is on the right. 

    An alternative to 95...
    
    
    84 East to 91 South to Rt 15 South (Merritt Pkwy).  This becomes the
    Hutchinson River Pkwy South in New York. Go over the   Whitestone
    Bridge, take the Cross Island Pkwy to The Grand Central Pkwy East and
    follow Tom's directions from the above note...

Okay, here are a couple of alternate routes to Deer Creek.  They aren't
necessarily pretty, but they will bypass the I-69/116th St. construction
mess.  (I-69 between I-465 and 116th St. can get fairly heavy in normal
conditions; that corridor is becoming yuppie development heaven...)
 
Route 1:
 
	Find the Allisonville Road exit from I-465.  If you're at the
	net.gathering, then you've already found the Ale Emporium via
	that exit.  If not, it is the first exit west of the I-465/I-69
	interchange.  Head north on Allisonville Road.  Go a *long way*,
	until you hit 146th Street, then turn right (east).  Not more
	than two miles along 146th you will intersect State Route 37.
	Turn left (north), and follow 37 to State Route 238 (about 2-3
	miles).  Turn right (east), and follow 238 to the venue.  If
	you cross I-69, you must have been playing footsie with your
	SO; the venue is just west of the I-69/238 interchange.  This
	route is likely to be a bit slow for a portion of Allisonville,
	but it goes semi-rural/rural very quickly.
 
Route 2:
 
	Head north on I-69 from the I-69/I-465 interchange, but bail out
	at 96th Street.  Turn right (east) on 96th and proceed until you
	hit Fall Creek Road.  Turn left on Fall Creek and wind around the
	northwest side of Geist Reservior.  Just before Fall Creek 
	physically crosses Geist there is a left turn for Brooks School
	Avenue.  Take Brooks School north.  As you head north you have
	a choice.  You can take Brooks School until it hits 238, then
	turn right and head into the venue.  But I can't vouch for the
	quality of the road.  Or you can take Brooks School until it
	intersects with 116th, and turn right (east) on 116th.  Follow
	116th east until you hit Olio Road.  Turn left on Olio (how come
	I can hear the Wicked Witch's soldiers singing "Ooooliiiiooo"...),
	and head north until you hit 238.  Turn left on 238, cross I-69,
	and look for the venue on your right.
 

    After you reach the beltway going south, (95S)look for central ave.
    Rt 214, exit right follow signs going towards washington,
    RFK is on central ave.

    
                  Rt 95 south to Provido, Atwells ave exit, go left at end
                  of exit and then bare left at the lights and you are very
                  very close to it then! ( 2 BLOCKS good parking in this
                  area)

I believe that Oak Grove is in Melrose.  You could try calling the Melrose
Police, or City Hall for approximate location/address and direx.

I have 617-722-3200 for non-recorded info #, and 722-5050 for recordings.
In the Yellow pages it says "Remember, subways stop running at 1:00 am".
I would think that they'd run trains till after the show, and wouldn't worry.

The Commuter Train is a real good option. THey're quick and reliable trains.
No Station Commuter Lines # is 617-227-5070, or 800-392-6099.

    Here's a T tip for tippling toursters...
    
    Park outside the Cambridge Brewery and stop in for a couple of pre-show
    brews. Be sure to say hi to Phil the deadhead brewmaster - he's the one 
    who personally corks all of our homebrew taping party kegs. Afterwards,
    take the T to North Station or Haymarket and stop  in at the Commonwealth
    Brewery - just for the sake of comparison, you understand. :-) After
    the show, take the T back to the Kendall stop in Cambridge. The last
    T out of North Station is at 12:30 - in time for that post show, thirst
    quenching last call at the CBC. :-) At least that's what we'll most
    likely be doing for a few BG shows. :-) :-) :-)

I know all about the Orange Line and Oak Grove as I lived in Melrose and
commuted form Oak Grove to Boston for 4 (long) years.

In my opinion, this is *definitely* the smart way to get into BG for all of
us coming in from the North (it's what I plan to do).  Drive in to Oak Grove
(big parking lot) and take the Orange Line directly to North Station.

How to get to Oak Grove (it's actually in Malden, but right near the Melrose
border)?  Route 3 to 128 North.  128 to 93 south.  Now comes the tricky part.
Get off 93 at the 2nd exit.  (I think the sign indicates "Melrose/Stoneham").
This is just north of the big lake (Spot Pond) which is on the east side of
93 as you pass through Middlesex Fells.
Take a left (east) off of exit ramp, then a right (south).  You will now
be driving south on a fairly wide street following the east shore of Spot
Pond (past Stone Zoo on your right if it's still there).  Just before you
reach the south end of Spot Pond, you take a left turn (east).  There *may*
be a small sign here indicating "Melrose", but don't count on it.  Anyway,
there will be woods (Middlesex Fells) on both sides.  Stay on this street
for quite some time.  You will go through several lights (first one has
Grimsby's restaurant on the corner).  You are driving through residential
Melrose.  Eventually, you will cross some railroad tracks.  Just after the
tracks will be MAIN STREET (light here).  Take a right (south) on main
street.  Continue south on main for a little less than a mile.  You will
pass a Friendly's on your right, then an NHS hardware store and Hunt Drugs
(best place to buy camera equipment, binoculars, *and* blank tape).
*Just* after Hunt Drugs, take a *right* (west).  This little street is
the entrance into Oak Grove (it winds Left (south) almost immediately).
Continue (south) until you reach the parking lot.  If you are lucky, parking
may be free (but sometimes there is an attendent).
Trains leave Oak Grove every 10 minutes or so and take less than 15 minutes
to reach North STation.

These directions seem long, but it's really pretty easy.  By the way,
if you miss the 93 exit, you can still get to Oak Grove if you get off
at the next exit, but I don't want to try describing how to do it--a map
would be handy.

there's always the Sullivan Sq. Orange line T stop, which can be found by taking
the last exit off 93 south before the Tobin Bridge (Somerville).

    It is not assumed, however past experience and such leads one to
    believe that with the already tight schedules and the larger than
    normal influx of people, could provide anxious moments after the show.
    
    note: there have been rumors of expectations of 100k plus of people
    in the Garden area over the weekend....15k show +  xfactor miracle
    folks + college folks in town "wanting to party even if there are
    no tickets" + plus assorted gawkers = 100k 
    
    That is why I plan on getting in town early on both days....for friday
    I plan on leaving WFO no later than 1pm.

	I called the MBTA information line (617-722-3200) and was told
	that there are no plans to shut down the subways (I didn't ask
	about the commuter rail) early because of the concerts.

	The last train from Park Street towards Kendall Square, Harvard
	Square and Alewife leaves from Park Street about 12:40 AM.

	Please note that it is possible to walk from the Boston Garden
	to Kendall Square (for those planning to park near the Cambridge
	Brewing Company).  This can even be done in a reasonable amount 
	of time - like under an hour :-)

    The Commonwealth Brewery is near the Haymarket and North Station T stops.
    
    The Cambridge Brewery is near the Kendall Sq stop.
    
    There are various gathering at both breweries.

	I can't believe -I- am the one to help you out because
	I don't ususally "do directions"...but really, Steve-O,
	it should be very easy for you to find Alewife, it can be
	seen from rt 2 and there are signs with that infamous T
	along the highway where you should get off...when you're
	driving along and you hit Arlington Heights (i believe it is!)
	- you know you are at the Heights cause you're really at a high 
	point, you can see the city and you start going DOWN - then I think 
	it is not too long afterwards that you should be looking for T signs...

	I hope this helps you out...it really is very easy to find...

Hi Bill,

My sugggestion is to park at the garage at 75 State Street, near Fanuil Hall.  
To get there, take the pike all until it ends (pay ticket toll), and stay on 
the expressway all the way in.  When the x-pressway ends, you have a choice of 
bearing left to the south station tunnel, or staying straight to the right 
toward south station itself.  You want to stay to the right.  Go straight 
through the next 4 or 5 sets of lights until you come to State Street (you 
will pass South Station, the Boston Harbor Hotel, and will be approaching the 
Longwarf Marriott, all which are on the right).  Take a left on to State 
Street, and look for a blue "P" for public parking on the left, about 2 
streets up.  You will see the entrance to the garage on the side street on the 
left below the  blue "P".  It cost $7, but you can go to most any of  the 
Fanuil Hall bars and get a validation stamp and it will only cost you $5.  
From there you are 5-10 minutes from the Gahden.

I've been doing this for the last few shows (as well as Bruins games over the 
last 3 years, used to cost only 3 bucks back then!) and it will take you about 
45 minutes to an hour from leaving Marlboro to being parked.  Easy in, easy 
out!

I could describe how to get to Nassau from Hartford, I've always excelled
in creative writing.  But oh, you wanted directions .... nevermind.  :-)

    The way I go to Long Island:
    
    Down (South) 91
    
    West on Wilbur Cross, Merritt Parkway
    
    Down Hutchinson River Parkway
    
    Watch for the sign that says "Throggs Neck Bridge"
        (I believe there is only one; "they" don't really want you to use
        this exit.)   The exit is a *very* tight right turn, followed by
        another *very* tight right turn.  Thsi leads you onto the artery
        to the TNB.
    
    Don't worry if you miss the turn, just proceed over the Whitestone
    Bridge.
    
    
    From either bridge, you can get to the LIE or the 
      Grand Central Pkwy (Northern State).  See reply .2 for the rest.
    
    
    As an alternative, you can take 91 to 95, and breathe truck fumes
    as you watch for the signs to Long Island (via either bridge).

That's if you go over the GW bridge, and hop the the NJ Turnpike.

Another alternative is to go over the Tappan Zee Bridge, Get on the Garden State
Pkwy south.  Get off at ext 163 (or is it 164???) for Rt. 17 South.  Follow that
down and get off at the Paterson Plank Road (or is rt. 20).  There are signs
on 17 for the correct exit to take for the sports complex...

    I plan on arriving in New Jersey around rush hour on Monday.  Another
    person from that area mentioned (but didn't
    give directions...) using the Newburgh Bridge  to avoid
    traffic.  Does that make sense ?

Ick!  DON'T TAKE THE ROUTE 17 WAY THEN!!!!  It would be bad!

Yup, that'll work.  The Tappen Zee Bridge is a mess at rush hour.  To avoid
the 'tap I usually don't go all the way to the Newburgh bridge on 84.  I exit
earlier (one way is via the Taconic Parkway and Rt 9, look at a map, it's 
pretty self explanatory), and take the Bear Mtn. Bridge.  It's a much prettier
ride (back roads, along the Hudson).  I've saved as much as 2 hours by taking
the Bear Mt. Bridge rather than the 'tap (but that was the Sunday after turkey
dave (I mean day)... :-)

It is also about 35 miles longer, I think, but a nice drive through the hills
in New Yawk.

    Don't think there's much construction on 84 past Hartford.  We head
    that way a number of times per year to my closest brother.  Though
    it has been a month or two since we were last there (Easter/Passover
    time for the religously mixed family ;-)  Things could have sprung
    up of course.  Like that construction they're doing at Exit 1 on
    3 in NH.  Anyone know what they're doing?  Almost looks like a 
    new offramp!

    About route 3 - it's the beginning of the 4-year widening of the
    highway up to exit 7.  First they're going to move the exit ramps, then
    build the bridges, divert the northbound traffic to the bridge they
    built a couple of years ago, tear down the old bridge and build a wider
    one, divert the southbound traffic to it and build the new southbound
    bridge, put 7 lanes under the bridge, then build the bridges for the
    new exit 2 and start widening the road.  They just released the plans
    this week and it's really well thought out.  They've told the
    contractor that two lanes must be open at peak hours so hopefully it
    won't make traffic too bad.  Supposed to cost about $65 millon just to
    exit 3.
    
    Oh yeah - new toll booths at exit 1 although you'll be able to get on
    at exit 1 northbound without a toll booth.  I have a feeling many
    people will be cutting down the DW highway to avoid 75 cents.
    
    Not looking forward to 4 years of bad traffic. :-(

A very similar project north of Hartford (I91) was christened in 1975. Its 
still a two lanes gauntlet of traffic from hell...

Hopefully, New Hampshire will do the right things and pay-off the right dons to 
keep this project moving...

Former Windsor, CT resident.

    This question is about directions but not about concert venues.  I hope
    that won't disqualify me from getting the info.  :-)
    
    I have to take my wife down to South Station in Boston to get her
    onboard an AMTRACK leaving around 5:00 on Wednesday.   I need
    directions and recommendations as to how much time to leave in order to
    get there, park and see that she's all set up.
    
    I'll be leaving from Nashua.
    
      Rt 3 South -> 128 North -> 93 South -> ?????

believe it or not Marv, the person who can give you directions to South
Station is Jim Henderson.  Yikes, I can't believe I said that!!  :-) :-)

Marv, I can give you a good idea of how to get there.

I assume you know where the Logan Airport exit is off 93.   
So Station is a couple of (very short) exits ahead, less 
than a mile or so from the Logan exit. 

Take Rt 93 towards Boston.  
Just after the Logan Airport/East Boston exit is a small tunnel (part of 93).
This is the South Station Tunnel (and NOT the Sumner/Callahan tunnel 
that goes to the airport).
Take the exit immediately just before the tunnel (not 100% sure if the
exit is there or if you need to take the exit inside the tunnel itself).
If you go past the tunnel you've passed So Station.
Once at the end of the exit, you'll see South Station to your Left.
Go left (on Sumner Street?) which is adjacent to South Station.
Parking should be available on the street (you might have a 1/2 mile
walk) or you could park in one of the closer large lots.

If you need to be there at 5:00 p.m., you'll be hitting MAJOR traffic
which starts around 3:30 or so.  I'd probably plan on getting into the
Boston area where the traffic starts (around the start of the big bridges
where 95 and 93 meet) around 4:00 or so.  If you have to be there at 
5:00 a.m., no problem with traffic.

I have no idea how long it will take from Nashua, but I'd leave lots
of extra time for traffic/accidents, etc.

is there any kind of backroads way to get to the stadium?  i was really pleased
with how we were able to avoid the traffic at rich stadium, and it would be
nice if we could do the same again; but i'd been to rich stadium before, and
i've never been to rfk; does anyone have suggestions of alternate routes?

how about the metro?  will that still be running after the show?  but then we
wouldn't be able to bring a cooler, grill, etc.

Ha!  This reminds me of the most excellent adventure we had getting to RFK the 
last time I saw the Dead there.  (Jeesh...that was way too long ago...it was 
the Dylan/Dead year...)

Anyways, we got hopelessly lost and confused trying to find RFK.  We had no 
idea where the hell we were, nor where the hell RFK might be!

As we were cruising around, we passed a cop shop and noticed a cop getting into 
his cop car.  So we quickly pulled over and one of us jumped out of the car and 
told the cop we were hopelessly lost and confused.  Well, it just so happened 
that he was on his way to RFK!  He said, "follow me!"

Well, this s*cker took off!  He had no regard whatsoever for speed limits, nor 
even for this big ol' "ROAD CLOSED -- DO NOT ENTER SIGN"!  We had a blast!

When he got us to the stadium, he pulled over and waved at us and wished us a 
good show!

It's not every day that you get to chase a speeding cop car on your way to a 
Dead show!

HA!  that is a great one tms!  DC and I, while in NC, were hanging out in this
pahking lot when a cop came and said we all hadda split.  He said, "i'm gonna
turn around down there and ya'll can follow me to this back lot we ya'll can
pahty up w/o a problem."  ok, so we followed the cop thinking of jail cells,
paddy wagons, etc... he brought us to this cool lot where we hung back and
had fun!

    I'm one of those shy DEChead note readers who never writes or replies,
    but I just couldn't resist this time.  It can be a real *^$%& getting
    to RFK.  If you take this "back route," you shouldn't have much
    trouble.  My husband and I seem to manage avoid lots of traffic going
    to home games this way.  
    
    Directions to RFK:
    
    - Take 95S to 295S (Baltimore/Washington PKWY) towards DC
    
    - As you get closer to DC on 295S you will notice a fork in the 
      road - STAY TO YOUR LEFT, this will keep you on 295S (AVOID the signs
      that say DOWNTOWN NY AVE)
    
    - After the fork, follow 295S for about 2-3 miles.  You will then see
      a sign that says "BENNING ROAD 1/3 MILE"
    
    - Take the BENNING ROAD exit on the right (after the exit you should
      be riding parallel to the PEPCO Power Plant)
    
    - The stadium and parking will be about 1/4 mile on your left.

    I try to get to RFK by 3:00pm, if driving. The metro is also a good
    shot, take 95S (Capitol Beltway), exit 19B RT 50W, follow sign to Metro
    (2 minutes top). You will be at New Carollton, the start of the Orange
    line, 6 stops later, and a sea of tie dye awaits you. The station stop
    is Stadium/Armory, the blue line also services this stop.
    
    I have never missed a Metro after the show, they close down around
    midnight. 

	The RFK gates open around noon, it pays to get there early,

	I am going to exit on Benning Road...sounds good!

    Another backway to go, is to catch RT 301 (sometimes RT 3) in Maryland,
    and then go RT 214 (Central Ave), all the way into RFK, for those
    coming out of town, you may want to begin this route, as you
    exit from the tunnels on 95S at Baltimore, consult a map, and you
    will see what I mean, this eliminates the Capital Beltway, and
    is maybe 20 minutes longer.

OK, Park in Acton and take the train.  You'll be back in acton by 12:45 
and home by 1:00:-)

	I have parked in a sleazy lot right under the Expressway almost
	right next to the Gahdin for $7 and was able to exit extremely
	easily, however I would recommend the Haymarket parking garage
	right near the Commonwealth Brewery for ease of exiting and
	arriving, it seems the flow of traffic there moves steadily in
	and out.  I myself hop the train at West Concord 1 mile from 
	home, takes me right there. :-)

    You can try the parking lot at the Charles River Apts. (If You Lived
    Here, You'd Be Home By Now.) The entrance is off of Leverett Circle,
    as if you're going to Causeway St.  It's on the right.  Used to cost
    $10 for Garden events.
    
    Also might consider the Mass General Hospital parking lots.  You have
    to walk a few blocks, but it's an option.  
    
    Deane's recommendation for the Haymarket garage is probably the best.
    
    Me, I'll be taking the train from South Acton, too.  It costs $7 round
    trip and it takes you right into the Garden.  Couldn't be more
    convenient.

You might consider parking at Fan Pier (near World Trade Center) and walking
to the Garden...probably a 15 minute walk.

    Not having to be home early for the first two shows leaves some time
    for experimenting.  One thing I might try is parking at the garage
    behind Cambridge Brewing Co.  Then, instead of getting on the green
    line after the show, walk down to the Charles/MGH red line stop.  This
    would be quick for Alewife too, assuming it's quicker at all.
    
    Blowing out during the encore works well, but can be dangerous . . . I
    saw a lot of bummed people who walked out on a "Saturday Night" only to
    find out that they played "Ripple" right after it.  In the past, I've
    made it to the door before Jerry finishes the opening lick of US Blues.

A friend I'm going with to the last BG show has a way he guarentees is 
great access to the Garden.  I believe it involves going over the 
Charlestown bridge to Boston, which leaves you right near a $10 parking
garage next to the Garden.  I'm pretty sure I recall this bridge from 
the years I used to take the bus to Boston from Marblehead.  Not sure 
I could give the best directions.  Maybe someone else here is familiar 
with it, or you could try checking a map.  Supposedly this is relatively
untraveled, as no one from out of town would know/think about it.
He swears he left his house in Medford at 6:00PM during the last BG run
in '91 and was in his seat in the Garden at 6:30.

    I'm going in from Boylston, not far from you Fog. I'll go 495 -> 9 ->
    mass pike -> end, turn left, go up 3 exits (this is the worst part of
    the trip, ex-way on a Friday afternoon), take the ramp for Government
    center. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and right and you're
    pointing at the garage. Of course now that I've typed that I gather you
    know it. Oh well, that'll take me under an hour and about the same time
    it would  to get to, park and pick up a train. Probably costs less in the
    end.

I'll be doing Fog's most favorite route:  2E->Alewife station; red line to
Chahles, walk to the Gahden ...  easy in, easy out, as far as i'm concerned.

    You used to be able to park in Charlestown, just on the other side of
    the Charlestown bridge.  Before the Central Artery Project, it was
    called City Square; may be still is.  Anyway, there was parking under
    on some streets and under the expressway.  You could just walk over the 
    locks on the Charles River, right into the rear entrance of the Garden.
    
    I haven't done this since the construction, but I bet it can still be
    done. It helps if you know your way around the area of Constitution
    Park.

    delivery would be worth it.
    
    I went to my first show in a school bus that we chartered down to
    Providence.  It was a great time, the driver was extremely tolerant. 
    The organizers were able to buy a block of 50 tickets or so.  I only
    knew the songs from "Wake of the Flood" and was pretty bored
    throughout.  :-)

provided you park at a $10 parking garage (i typically prefer the 85 cent T,
as i've already stated), and provided that you drive down alone and don't have
anybody to split the $10 with (which isn't very economical)

    Wanna hear about my trip to the last Garden run?  First I bribed a
    mechanic to pass emissions on my Galaxie 500 and headed west.  Once in
    San Francisco, I travelled to Hawaii by aircraft carrier, which I
    rented out as a personal ferry.  I had the pilots do stunts for me
    while the captain served me festive drinks on deck.  From there, I
    chartered an oil tanker.  We were making poor time, so I had him dump
    his cargo in the Pacific to speed things up.  The trip across the
    continents was uneventful, except for a quick detour to Mir space
    station, boy those Russians were desperate for hard cash!  I then took
    a coal fired steam engine through the chunnel and across Britain. 
    There, I chartered the QEII for the Atlantic crossing.  Once in Boston
    Harbor, I said "keep 'er running, I'll be back in eight days."  My
    Galaxie was waiting for me (I'd paid someone to drove it back from SF),
    and I proudly drove it down Causeway St. to the Garden, where I let it
    idle at the curb while I enjoyed the show.
    
    We're strapped with a mortgage now, so I've had to cut back my travel
    budget.  If I park at Alewife (closest regular T stop), it'll cost me
    $19.20 per show.*
    
    * $4 parking
      60 miles by car @ .225/mile
      $1.70 T fare

    Take 95S -> 278S -> the Triboro Bridge.  NOTE:  It's called the
    *TRI*boro Bridge for a reason!  Make sure you take it into Manhattan.
    (You'll be going to the right and it will look like you're bypassing
    the toll booths - the booths for Manhattan are around at a different
    level - just follow the signs).  Bear right off the bridge and get on
    the FDR Drive South.  Take the FDR all the way downtown to Houston
    Street.  Take Houston to the Bowery and make a right.  CBGB is on the

    The center is almost in the center of the city on the site of the
    old '62 World's Fair. The venue is within walking distance of the 
    space needle, the Seattle Coliseum, the Seattle Art museum, and
    a couple of other venues. The stadium is small. I'd guess that it
    would seat 12-16K, even with people on the floor. It is an open
    air football stadium-like setup so you should be able to hear well
    if you don't get tix. There are also some very nice parks around the
    area and many vending areas. I was in Seattle a couple of weeks ago
    while mailorder was happening. There was a lot of last-minute dealing
    going through to make these shows happen, according to the local radio
    stations. I was staying in Bellevue so I don't know what the hotels
    are like in Seattle. It is one *beautiful* city, though.

year I was wondering where it is in proximity to the water. I'd have to pull 
a lot of things together to make it work, but I'd really like to sail to a show.
So how far is Giants from the nearest ocean port? Is it potential walking 
distance? Biking distance? How safe/secure are the ports in the area?

	I couldn't do it in my boat, but maybe if I got tickets for someone 
he'd be willing to sail it.

pretty far mon.  it is in NJ, i'd say approx 10mi west of NYC.

    I was a little bummed to see that the closest place they are playing is
    Giants.  For anyone that is going, watch out for the cops!!!  They see
    an out-of-state license plate and they are like dogs....  
    
    Mike and I went to the Giants shows last year and stayed at a NJ hotel
    with some friends...Mike went out to his truck to get the cooler. [His 
    truck was parked behind the hotel in the hotel parking lot].   The police 
    pulled into the parking lot, drove around a little, then encountered Mike 
    at his truck.  They harassed him for no reason, and then searched his 
    truck.  They found a small bag and confiscated it.  They had no reason
    to search his truck except for the dead stickers on it and the Ohio
    license plate...

    I agree with Danielle and whatever you do DON'T camp out off of rte 80
    near Budd Lake/Rt 46 area..the police out there are very nasty people
    and have small town mentality...they deliberately put more officers
    on patrol when the boyz are around...the problem being that because
    there are campgrounds in that area (Davis State Park?) and they are the
    closest to Giants (one hour away) alot of heads drive out there to camp
    and Johnny Law and his state trooper cohorts tend to gather in flocks
    to pull people over kinda the roadblock theory without the roadblock..
    just a little friendly advice

	exit and you'll come to seabrook station. go left, thru seabrook.
	way down the road, (after you go thru seabrook center) you'll
	come to a rotary. follow the signs for hampton beach. i think
	it's rte 85, the first exit off the rotary. it'll take you right
	to ocean blvd. find your way to the casino, close by to your

    I've been told that it is right accross the street from the library,

I think last Friday or Saturday night.

I'm looking for directions to the Worcester Aud for a friend who is also 
wondering about the neighborhood it's in.

    the worcester aud (aka "the new aud") is in Lincoln Sq...  495
    to 290...  take the Lincoln Sq exit...  big auditorium with
    large gothic columns right in the square...
    
    the neighbors are the worceter court house...  the worcester police
    station...  worc voc tech high school, and the hotel-the-used-to-be-a
    Marriott-but-now-its-Crowne-Plaza-or-something-like-that...  parking is
    available at the hotel for a fee and on the streets in the neighborhood
    (which is for the most part pretty good)...

    the front of the new aud kinda looks like the Lincoln Memorial, with
    the big columns and all...well, I think so anyway !!!

    Anyone know how to get to the Somerville Theatre ?   I'll be driving
    in from the Mass Pike.

    It's at Davis Square near the red line but I don't know how off
    the top of my head how to drive there from the Pike.

As in should you go or reviews ?   If the prior, YES! Go, you won't regret it.
I've seen em several times and they are great.

Have you heard them ?  It's hard to describe them, though the following would
apply:

- 'lectric and acoustic banjo jazzfunk jams
- one of the best bass players on the planet
- future man (has to be experienced - invented and plays synthesized drumitar)
- 99.9% lyric free (mostly instrumental)

Great laid back musicians with a unique style.  Tickets probably still
available for Sommerville tonight.

    no, there are not two auditoriums...
    
    since you're coming up from rhode island (correct?) the aeasiest thing
    for you to do is come up 146 to 290...  take 290 east and get off at
    the Belmont St exit...  i think the sign say rt 9 westboro,
    leicester...  it's at memorial hospital...(yeah, i know... big help!
    :^)...  anyway, at the top of the ramp, go left...  at the bottom of
    the hill is lincoln sq...  the Aud is the big building straight acroos
    the square with the massive columns...  greek looking thing...  can't
    miss it...
    
    if you miss the exit, get off at the 190 interchange but dont take
    190!!  stay to the right and follow signs for lincoln and burncoat
    streets...  take a right at the light at the end of the ramp and follow
    that street right back into downtown...  it will take you back to
    lincoln sq again and now the aud will be on the right...
