1224.0. "Mail_to addressing (MS Exchange)?" by NETRIX::"paulda@mail.dec.com" (David Paul) Fri Mar 07 1997 16:03

   I am running scheduler v2.1 on a VMS cluster and I want to know if
   someone could give me an example of how to modify a job to change the
   mail_to address to send me mail to MSExchange instead of my vaxmail
   address.

   I imagine the address would need to look something like
   smtp%paulda@mail.dec.com (or something similar) but I can't get it
   to work.

   Also , I understand there is a limit on the # of characters in the
   mail_to field. This could pose a problem if I want to send mail to
   2 or 3 Exchange users. I guess the only option there would be to
   use a distribution list??

   Thanks for any help .

    Dave Paul

Distribution list is the best way to go for.
Related the mail address vms reads the @ so it must be made hidden:
when using the mailaddress in a dislist use:
"smtp%""username@mail.dec.com""""
(so start one double, then two and finish with three.
