2572.0. "Problem in configuring PPP on ONNET to SCO UNIX" by QCOCAL::NISITH () Mon Apr 28 1997 07:07

Sub: PPP Configuration problem on SCO UNIX and ONNET (FTP S/W)

Hi ,
I have the following configuration. Would you please help us ?

   SCO Server --- MODEM ---- /\/ --- MODEM ---- PC
   (Pentium FastTalk FastTalk ON-NET
    based) Plus Plus PPP

SCO server is configured for incomming PPP link. ON-NET for windows is loaded
into the PC and the PC uses PPP for establishing ppp link with SCO server.

PPP connection between this PC and LINUX Server is very much fine and works
without any problem and very much reliable.

But when instead of LINUX server if same PC is used for establishing link
with SCO server some times it connects some times it fails. Failure percentage
is 90-95%.Once the connection is esablished between PC and Serevr one ICON
is created automatically. This ICON is generally used for future connection with
server.
With this ICON PC connects to LINUX server without any problem but same PC
does'nt connect with SCO server.

Please help me out as this call is very much critical.

2572.1Networking Release Supplement 1.0CSCMA::EARNESTFri May 02 1997 18:559
	Nisithranjan,

Have you applied the Networking Release Supplement 1.0 for SCO
Openserver Release 5.0? Note that you have to apply the SCO
Openserver Release 5 Supplement (version 5.0.0d) before apply-
	ing the networking supplement.
