198.0. "'92 Holman Stadium Schedule" by CIVIC::FAHEL (Amalthea Celebras/Silver Unicorn) Mon Apr 13 1992 17:06

    While we're on the topic...

    Does anyone know of any confirmed acts playing in my neighborhood - at
    Holman Stadium (NOT park), in Nashua, NH?

    Rumour has it that Jimmy Buffet and James Taylor are going to play, but
    I've heard nothing concrete.

    K.C. (hoping that Stevie Nicks gives it another shot) :^)

    Yes, Taylor is a definate....Jimmy is a rumor that's going around,
    as is ELTON JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    In *Nashua*.....unbelievable.

    The bad news: this year, there's an upper limit on the # of concerts
    and it's only *10*

Also ....

I believe I read in the Nashua Telegraph last year, at the end of the series,
that they'll be bringing in groups that are more "family-oriented" this year
... not sure what bands fall under that category, but it excludes the Allman
Brothers.  :^(

    Then expect to see, I know the spellings are wrong, Rosenschanz and
    possibly Raffie. I know my 3 year old will love them. Maybe they'll
    be on a double bill. That could be trouble though as there could be
    a big stink about who goes on first. Can't have any riots among the
    tots now can we?

    Sarcasm off, I personally consider the Allman Brothers to be family
    oriented. G's & R's, well that's another story. 8-)

    Re: -2 Hi Dave!

    Yes, I heard rumblings about that too...but who's going to define
    ``family oriented''???

    I also heard something about the concerts being particularly LATE
    in the year. That's really a shame, I think they were one of the
    best things to happen to Nashua.

    I'm not sure I would call Jimmy Buffett more family oriented than
    the Allman Brothers. But, hey, what do I know????

    --CJ--

198.7DEDSHO::CLARKI'm still aliveTue Apr 14 1992 18:406
I think there was some kind of obscure tie-in between "family oriented" and
"not as loud." ;^) Several people around the stadium complained specifically
about the volume level of the Allman Bros. concert.

- Dave who got to talk to Gregg beforehand and was amazed he made it through
  the show ;^)

   According to the tour schedule I received yesterday there are no Holman
   Stadium dates scheduled, however there appears to be a lot of open time
   between the GW date, (Jul 9) and his next show which is in Chicago.

198.12Holman Stadium seating questionSMURF::LONGOMark Longo, Open Systems GroupWed Apr 22 1992 20:4115
	I just got tix for James Taylor (Aug 23, 7:30pm) today. I have never
gone to a show at Holman stadium and wonder what the seating categories are.
Ticket Master was all but useless in giving info. I got "field" tickets
($25 each plus another $5 service) but have no idea what that means. Presumably
that could be anythying from OK to terrible, as the tickets have been on sale
for some time. They gave no row or section info. Is there a better place to
get Holman tickets?

	Thanks in advance,
	Mark

	PS: I asked Ticket Master on a chance if they had a Bonnie Raitt date
	    listed for Holman; they don't.

198.13Wish they'd give us the listing!TUNER::SCHIRALDIWhy ask why?? Try UNIX dry!!!Thu Apr 23 1992 05:4223
    Hi Mark,

    Re: -1

    Yes, I know how the seats work. It's pretty easy in fact.

    the lettered sections (i.e. A B C D...) are the seats.  I think
    B is the best seats, as that section is the first 25 rows of the
    center section.  It basically goes A B C then, behind A, D E F
    and so on.

    After the #'d sections, there is a GA area. I think this is what
    they call field. If so, I don't know if they are planning on putting
    seats in there. Last year, they didn't.

    After the General Admissions area, there's the bleachers. You can
    usually tell those by the cheap price (like under $20).

    I usually get tix at Rainbow CD store, up by exit 8. Opens 10am
    the day the tix go on sale.

    Better check it out. I called Rainbow CD recently. They told me they
    are no longer selling concert tickets. Too bad. They were really good
    at getting great seats. They said they have another store in
    Manchester that will be selling tickets.

    Good luck!

 If you get in the area early enough there are some places on 101A..I don't know
if the locals like folks parking in front of their homes..last year they ran
buses from Pheasant Lane Mall (plenty of parking there) and I believe if you
are coming north on rte 3 right around exit 5 or 6 I recall seeing signs for
parking/shuttles.

198.33CSLALL::HENDERSONChew a little juicy fruitWed Jul 22 1992 16:5214

 Last year the process was to park your car, head into the mall and go to the
Service Center (or whatever it is called) and buy a ticket ($5?)..then proceed
to the mall entrance (where Charlie's) restaurant is and hop on the bus.

Not sure how the others worked. I'd suggest calling the mall, or perhaps the
Nashua Center for the Arts and maybe they could give you more details

    Does anyone in here know what the sound is like at Holman (like, does

198.35DEDSHO::CLARKEver breathe oxygen, kid?Wed Aug 26 1992 19:4516
Better late than never maybe?

Rte 3 North (called Everett Turnpike in NH), to exit 6 east (rte 130, called
Broad St.) ... after a mile or so (? I'm not good with distances), rte 130
will merge with rte 101A (Amherst St.). You'll see Milano's pizza at the
merge, and Richdale's convenience store on your right. The stadium is a short
distance after that on your left. If you get to Nashua downtown, you've gone
too far. You'll need to park before you get to the stadium, though.

You can also take exit 7 east if you miss exit 6 - that's Amherst St.

Can't say much about the sound as I've generally sat in about the same area.
I know people up at the front have said it's loud. ;^)
