759.0. "Trumpet Players: HELP, I'm looking to upgrade, need advice" by EST::GALLAGHER () Mon Feb 26 1996 13:21

My son is currently a studet quality Bach Trumpet. We have
2 other student grade trumpets mfg'ed by King. He's looking
to upgrade to a professional quality instrument.

We're looking for some advice on what to look for.
He's looking for a full, round, Dark sounding instrument.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,
Dave

re: -1 this is your fault! %^)

A clarinet when played in a dark garage provides a mellow,
    soft, full sound.

FWIW, there are trumpet players following the SMURF::CLASSICAL_MUSIC and
HUMANE::JAZZ conferences, who might not read this one. You might get
feedback in those conferences too... - Jay
