756.0. "Information - Lyle Pierce" by USCTR1::FRANCOEUR () Fri Feb 09 1996 14:01

I would like to know if anyone in the music audience has ever heard of
a "National Recording Artist" by the name of Lyle Pierce. He has an ad
in the local paper looking for female vocalists.

My daughter had an audition with him this past Monday. He has a
recording studio in his home in Lancaster and he is looking for a
    vocalist for his group.

The reason for this note is that he seemed quite impressed with her
voice and I am trying to find out if he is legitimate.

    Can anyone help.

    Thanks,

    Pat

I know he's got a regular gig at The Grill in Northboro, but that's about it.

For what it's worth, I've never heard of the fellow - and I'm pretty
current with the local and national music scenes. Nonetheless, I can't
keep up with everyone so he may still be someone of note. He could also
have been part of a band that was nationally known and now he is on his
    own.

My brother has had a blues/R&B band for 20 years, performing in the
CT, NY, RI, and MA area. He has two self-produced CDs out. He has
distribution on a European label and some Towers Records. He has played
harmonica on some radio/TV commercials. Even so, he and his band are still
virtually unknown outside of this region and they all have day jobs.
Yet, if my brother chose to, he could claim to be an "International
Recording Artist", a "National Recording Artist", or a "Radio/TV Studio
    Session Man".
