642.0. "New Concert Venue on Rowe's Wharf" by DEMON::DEMON::COURT (Wit happens.) Thu May 26 1994 12:41

I heard that there is going to be a new place to see concerts this
summer ... a music tent on Rowe's Wharf in Boston. Does anybody know
more about this? The official name of the venue? A schedule of
    performers?

I'm particularly interested in dates for a Basia show.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Check the Phoenix, the Globe, etc... for schedules. The "tent" is
out on Fort Point I do believe and not Rose Wharf.

It's called Harbor Lights (I think???).

They have booked the whole summer, ranging from Frank Sinatra to Shawn
Colvin. There's been blurbs about it in the Globe recently (like
    yesterday, today?).

Thanks for the pointers. The Harbor Light Pavillion seats 4500 people,
about 2/3 the size of the Great Woods pavillion.

You can reach them at (617)482-8607, which I believe is also the number
for the Orpheum. For now, you can buy tickets through the Orpheum box
office, or through TicketScalper at (617)931-2000.

Two more dates: Kenny Loggins, July 24
                    Basia, August 25
