629.0. "Replacements" by MKOTS3::DUCHARME (Stuck on third, and proud of it?) Sat Apr 23 1994 10:49

I have not seen any notes in here about the Replacements, I haven't
even seen anything new from the Replacements. But in my eyes they are
    still a great band.

Are they still together at all? Paul Westerberg put out a decent solo
effort last year called _14 Songs_ - check it out.

Btw, one of my favorite songs they did was a cover of "Cruella
DeVille" from 101 Dalmations from the _Stay Awake_ CD - check it out...

Paul Westerberg put a album out but another member of the band did
also. I cant remember his name but I think the album is called "Blow
    Pops".

The Replacements broke up a few years ago. Paul Westerberg's "14
Songs" album is pretty good, I'll agree. I really loved this band...
their sense of humor and ability to throw musical surprises around was
    great.

Probably the greatest Rock & Roll show I ever saw was a few years ago
at Great Woods when the Replacements opened for Elvis Costello.
