Yes, Wishbone Ash. Brings back some good memories. I believe I
have a double album live set somewhere packed away in a box.
I've got to get it out and give it another listen.

I remember "Argus" as being a very good LP. Great guitar work!

I found the album I was mentioning. Live Dates was the name, recorded
in 73 at 4 venues in England. Listened to a couple of sides last night.
A couple of tunes sounded fresh and some dated. Wiskey Lady, Jail Bait
and The Pilgrim come to mind as still sounding good.

Believe it or not, Wishbone Ash has more or less re-formed. Ted Turner
is back in the band, along with Andy Powell and Martin Turner. Not
sure about the drummer. The have a couple of recent CD releases out.
I haven't had much luck finding any of these locally; all you ever find
in the bins here is "Live Dates".

Noveau Calls is a good album too.

re -.1, Ted Turner quit tv?
	;-) ha ha ha

I think my favorite from Wishbone Ash is "Phoenix". I used to frequent
a nightclub in Royal Oak MI. (Coral Gables), where one of the regular
bands would perform it. Tough to dance to.

I don't think Wishbone Ash ever broke up. And I believe they are just now
(past few months) getting their stuff re-released here (US). I had been
looking and looking too (you could find one, Noveau Calls).

What a band with the Turner Bros on twin lead!! I loved their twin lead sound.
And the vocals.

Last I knew One of the Turner's left the band but they were still going and
going and going (duracell rings a bell) and released a cd mentioned in a note
earlier "Noveau Calls" ... what was that 1988/9?

I'm a little fuzzy on the exact changeover, but Ted Turner left the band
and was replaced by another guitarist, Laurie Wisfield (sp). I think
this happened around late 70's. I'm not sure if they were ever both in
the band during the transition, but Ted eventually left. I guess by
"re-formed", I meant back to the original lineup. Btw, the other
guitarist is Andy Powell; Martin Turner is the bassist, and the
    two Turners aren't related.

If you look around, what's going on in our crazy world
      wars
           greed
                 hunger

and all this damn longing for more and more money....

you should remember one their best "crying guitar duett solo'

' THROW DOWN THE SWORD '

They are really until now one of my favourites.
