    This is amazing.  I was just thinking this same thing two days
    ago.  They're the only punk band I like.  Pretty interesting stuff.

	Oh my.  I just saw the note saying they'll be with the B-52s
	at Great Woods!  Wow.  I've had a downpayment on tickets for
	a couple of weeks, but didn't know Violent Femmes would be
	there too.  This is great news.

    I wouldn't classify the Violent Femmes as punk.  Alternative, yes. 
    Punk, no.
    
    Theeir first LP was great...haven't followed them much since.

     I saw the Violent Femmes at Woodstock. They were very good got the
    crowd up and dancing for the hour they were on stage. They were packed
    with energy, I hadn't really heard of them before that. But, now I'm a
    fan.
