    Sjaak,

    		Yes I certainly know Lloyd Cole and have been a huge fan
    since i heard " Are you ready to be Heartbroken ". I've been trying to
    remember the lyrics for you but can't. I have the music at home, do you
    want me to send it to you?
    		Have you heard the latest album called "Don't get weird on
    me Babe" it's classic Lloyd Cole, i saw his last english tour in
    November, still as good as ever.

177.3I like 'Forest fire'UTRTSC::BOSMANMarket square hero'sTue Apr 14 1992 13:1010
    At last.

    I only have their music taped, but the tapes are getting bad. I haven't
    heard the latest album, but I remember Lloyd Cole's hit at the end of
    '91. I like it. I think I go for their CD's.

    What do you mean by sending the music? If it is how to play then I
    don't think it serve any purpose, because I can't play at all :-) :-)

    	I found out about Lloyd Cole this past spring with the "Don't get
    	wierd on me babe" CD. *Great* stuff - amusing lyrics. I didn't
    	realize he had other albums...mind letting me know the album
        titles and if they're worth it?

    	Thanks!

177.6or maybe go for the '84-'89 collection?AYOV27::DROBBLooking back, it's so bizarre ...Thu Jul 30 1992 10:5419
    Lloyd's only other *solo* album, "Lloyd Cole", was released in (I think)
    1990, and like his latest, is well worth a listen - probably a bit more
    uptempo, and with the absence of strings on about half of the tracks
    (and with Robert Quine guesting on guitar, it's a darn sight livelier
    throughout).  ;^}

    I'd rate his efforts with The Commotions (in chronological order) as
    follows :-

    "Rattlesnakes" (1984) *****
    "Easy Pieces"  (1985) ***
    "Mainstream"   (1987) ***
    "1984-1989"    (1989) ****

    So, my recommendation is to definately start off with "Rattlesnakes",
    and if you can get hold of the U.K. version of the CD, it has four more
    tracks than the U.S. one has.
