    	Can someone give some recent experience with Flowers on the Oval
    	in Milford and/or Collins Flowers in Nashua?

    	It's time I start calling florists for my wedding. I've pulled
    	a few names from the file. I've heard (through the grapevine)
    	that Collins is good and since I live in Milford and that's where
    	the wedding will be, I thought I'd give Flowers on the Oval a
    	shot. But would like to know of experiences first, if there are
    	any.

    	Thanks!

3271.6Collins - double sidedWMOIS::LYONS_SFri Mar 28 1997 14:5120

    My sister-in-law is getting married this September and she is using
    Collins Flowers. She seemed to like the folks there. I have always
    been very happy with any of the flowers/plants that Ihave bought there.

    But on another note, a co-worker who is planning her wedding said she
    would not use Collins because the people were not personable and made
    her feel like "hey, we've been in business for 50 years, it wouldn't
    hurt us one bit if you didn't go with us."

    So there's both sides of the coin on Collins. FYI - my co-worker said
    that she went to Fortin-Gage in Nashua and the woman was terrific
    there. She had mentioned one idea she would like to do and the woman
    caught on right away as to the image she wanted for the wedding and
    proceeded to offer my co-worker ideas that were right on line as to
    what she wanted.

    Good luck!

    	Thanks Fortin-Gage was one of the ones I called but the woman
    	I needed to talk to wasn't in. I haven't called back yet.

    	Thanks for the input!

3271.8Collins did a great job for my wedding!SOLVIT::BENZTue Apr 01 1997 19:5910
    I used Collins about 7 years ago for my wedding. I had hand-tied
    bouquets done for my bridesmaids that were absolutely beautiful. To
    this day, I look at my wedding photos and marvel at how they looked...
    and how reasonably priced they were. Collins was more than willing
    to work within my budget and really did a fine job. I would
    recommend them. The woman I worked with did not have any of the
    attitude mentioned in prior replies here....guess it depends on who
    you talk to. I can't recall her name....she was young.
