    Alcohol

    without success.

    Thanks.

    Good luck
1078.2Clorox ProductGRANPA::LIROBERTSThu Aug 08 1991 16:118
    There is a new product out from clorox. It's an all purpose cleaner.
    I'm sure it will work. My husband used it for the first time last
    weekend to clean our floor. And he said the water was almost black
    when he finished.

    Hope it helps.............Lillian

    We had to use fine steel wool to get the red crayon off our walls.
    Basically, the steel wool removed a bit of the paint, but it was so
    little that you can't tell.

    We tried all sorts of cleansers, but to now avail. The steel wool was
    the last resort, but it did work.

    WD40 is supposed to be good at getting crayon on walls.
    It's kind of greasy as I recall, so you would want to
    do a test in some inconspicuous place first.

    I've had great luck with Simple Green getting marker and
    pencil marks off of furniture.

    Good luck,
    Jodi-

1078.5"Softscrub"FROSTY::OBRIENYabba Dabba DOOThu Aug 08 1991 16:489
    Try "Softscrub" -- it took permanent black magic marker off my hardwood
    floor. This was not a little scribble, but those large circular
    scribbles, you know the kind. What I did was put a little "Softscrub"
    on a cottonball and rubbed lightly on the mark only, you'd never know
    the marks were ever there.

    Good luck,
    Julie

     Even if you manage to get the ink off the walls, you'll probably
    be left with visible indentations where teh roller made its mark.

   Try talking with someone who sells Amway cleaning stuff. They have
   some really good stuff, and they can probably help you with ink.

Our son drew on our cloth couch the other day, I was amazed that my better half
(Sandy) got it out with Amway LOC.

    I have successfully removed ink from our leather couch with hairspray.

    There is a product called TSP for washing walls and it worked well at
    removing a lovely pen and ink design my son drew for me on our bedroom
    wall. You can buy it at any hardware store.

1078.12Shoe (suede) cleaner??JAWS::TRIPPMon Aug 12 1991 15:1711
    I'm not sure if this will help the problem with ink on the leather
    couch, but I bought some foam leather cleaner at the shoe store to
    clean a leather (suede) skirt that I had gotten an ink line on at work.
    It worked quite well. It was whatever brand is sold at the FAYVA shoe
    store chain.

    You rub it on, there's plastic brush type thing built into the cap, and
    rub it off. It saved my skirt at least.

1078.13Getting crayon off tableNOVA::WASSERMANDeb Wasserman, DTN 264-1863Mon Aug 12 1991 15:307
    A little off the topic, but along the lines with how to get stuff off
    other stuff... my son has taken to occasionally coloring on the Little
    Tikes TABLE, rather than on the paper. I called the company and they
    say that you can use WD-40 to get crayon off the table! I haven't
    tried it yet. I figure, what the heck, it's his table (although I
    haven't told him that :-))

    I've used FOAM CLEAN made by Fuller Brush to get ink and shoe polish
    off painted surfaces.
