915.0. "Swimming lessons for Children" by NAC::E_JESURAJ () Wed May 22 1991 13:04

    I would like to know the different places that offer swimming lessons
    for different age group, in the greater Lowell Area. I know YMCA
    offers. Besides YMCA, is there any other places? I want to send my
    girls for advanced swimming lesson starting this summer.

    Thanks for any info given.

I don't know how old your daughter is, or what your plans for the summer are,
but many day camps (Y, Girl Scouts, and others) offer swimming lessons as a
part of their activity schedule. Often the lessons are by Red Cross certified
instructors.

915.2Public Pools have lessons availableBRAT::DISMUKEWed May 22 1991 17:008
    The City of Lowell has public pools around where swimming lessons are
    provided. I think the Parks and Recreation department will be the
    place to give you that information. I lived in Lowell a few years back
    and checked this out for my son. Seems the pools are closed to the
    public in the morning to provide the lessons.

915.3Swimming places in Westford?NAC::E_JESURAJMon Jun 03 1991 16:1716
    We live in Westford. Our children will be spending their summer at
    home. Our daughters are of age 7 and 5 1/2. They do know swimming.
    We want them to go for an advanced swimming class. Town of
    Acton/Boxborough does offer swimming classes for nonresidents also,
    but those are offered during our working hours, it will be too much
    to drive them back and forth. Our babysitter cannot drive. So I can
    plan for any classes during the daytime. However if the classes are
    offered sometime after 3p.m, I can change my schedule of work, so that
    my girls can go for these classes. I heard that Westford Regency offer
    swimming lessons for children and adults. Does Anyone have any definite
    input about this?

    Thanks for any information I can get.
