667.0. "When sickness strikes everyone" by TUXEDO::COZZENS () Wed Jan 05 1994 15:34

I did a search for this subject and didn't find anything, if you feel
it should be moved, please let me know.

What do mom and dad do when everyone in the house, including baby, is
    sick at the same time?

Over New Years weekend everyone in the house was sick, mom, dad, and
baby with the flu. It was a good thing that no one felt like eating
because I certainly didn't feel like cooking. I didn't want to call
anyone to come in and help because I didn't want anyone else to get
sick. Oh what to do if it ever happens again.

    First rule of parenting:

Moms do not get sick. It is a law of the universe.
Ah, you say, but I sure FELT sick.

That was simply sympathy pains for your loved ones.

So, wake up, and hop to it!

Yes, I am teasing, but it does sometimes feel like Moms aren't ALLOWED to
get sick! Like last year, during CHristmas, when I had a fmily with
four children visiting, and EVERYbody - including me was sick withthe
    Yuck.

When everybody gets sick at once, you do as little as you can get by
with, until someone is feeling better.

I can remember a few years ago at New Year's when both my husband and I
were soooo ill with a throw up virus. We drew straws to see who could
keep their head up long enough to drive our son to the sitters's, the
    day after the holiday.
