41.0. "Is it SPRING yet?" by GENRAL::KILGORE (COME ON SPRING!) Fri Apr 08 1988 17:16

When do you thinking Spring will truely arrive? Is everyone having
cabin fever? I can hardly wait for consistant warm weather!

My prediction for Spring in Colorado is mid-May...just in time for the
    biting flies and mosquitos. :-)

We are just experiencing the first cold days of Autumn, trees are
changing colour and the rain is falling. Spring is far away.

Aw come on Judy it has been great the last few days I've already
got a good start on my tan. Shame is you are probably right.
I hate the GD skeeters, down on my end of town a medium size one
carried off a small dog and was shot down with anti-aircraft by

-.1 Peter, Sorry about that! I keep forgetting everybody reading
this may not be in the northern hemisphere. Did you have a good
    summer while it lasted?

-.2 Jerry, I too worked on my tan somewhat during the last weekend
and during the week, but...it's snowing today! I even walked up
to CXO3 to give blood Thursday in the 80 degree weather. It was
nice while it lasted but I'd like it to be decent for more than
a week so we wouldn't have the opportunity to lose our tans!

I was all ready to say how awful it is here in NH, with 45 degree/
grey/ rainy weather since Wednesday, and the forecast the same for
the next several days; but then the sun came out this afternoon,
the temperature went up into the sixties, and suddenly spring
seems possible again. Thank heavens the weather service can
    make mistakes!

Its now Spring in Australia, so my family and I spent the afternoon at
the beach. There was a cool breeze blowing so not everyone was nude,
but many were. There were even a few people in swimming (including my 7
year old daughter, and three women who fell out of a boat). We caught
up with some friends from previous visits, and generally enjoyed
    ourselves.

You sure can tell the weather is cold for most folks. Activity in this file
drops off tremendously. I am one that doesn't care for winter...too chilly to
run around without much on unless you are submerged in some warm-spring water!

Almost a week ago (Dec 21st) we had our shortest day of 1988 (in the northern
hemisphere). Now, if the days could get longer quicker, I'd be alot happier!
;-) Wishing all a Happy and Safe New Year!

Actually I want it to be summer! Less chance of snow occurring in summer...
Maybe I should just move to Phoenix, Arizona. ;^)

In Ontario Canada, we have recently had temperatures up to 11 degress
Celcius :-) , almost all of the snow is gone, and we're expecting
    thunderstorms for tonight.

It's hard to believe that only 2 weeks ago, we were having our second
worse snow storm of the year, and hitting record breaking lows of
up to -15 degrees Celcius for this time of year. Oh yes, we've
had quite a few flies in our facility show up ! It must be spring.

Is it feeling like Spring to everyone? We've been having some really nice
weather here in Colorado. The last couple weekends, I've sat out on the
front porch, sunned my face and hands and read a book. Temps have been in
the high 60's. There was a slight breeze but it was still comfortable. I
had on a loose knit sweater yesterday which allowed the sun to make it thru
to the skin on my chest. Bob was jealous! ;-) I just wish they'd make
tan thru jeans! :-)

We went to the beach reasonable often, never as much as I'd like to ;-) There
is alway so much else to do!

I have also been keeping up my lunchtime swims (nude) in the nearby Lane Cove
river.

Notes 21.8, and 21.9 have some more information about this summer.

I hope to get to Birdie beach, with another DECie some time before winter sets
in. I'll write a report on that, if he dosn't beat me to it.
