      Some thoughts for you after this long Thanksgiving Holiday.
Most of you have probably heard of "The Naked Guy" at University
of California at Berkeley.  This man, whose last name is
Martinez, has been going to class without any clothing.  At last
word, I heard he had been suspended by the Chancellor for
violating a new anti-nudity ordinance.  That however is not what
I want you to think about.  I have heard several people comment
about Martinez.  When I travelled with the basketball team to
California last week, I heard several of the women talking about
him, and that they wished they could go to that campus.
     I have also heard several people on other lists talk about
how surprised they are that no one else has joined Martinez'
crusade.  I thought about that this weekend, and I think that
this is not a unique occurance.
     For instance, the Topfree Seven in New York, that finally
won topfree rights for women in NY.  Apparently, women have not
taken advantage of this right, despite the large amounts of
publicity.
     In Texas, topless has been legal at most places for years,
especially in Austin.  One could go to Barton Springs Pool, and
see many topfree women at the area.  However that has changed.
     According to one official I talked to, the women sunbath
topless, or nude behind a walled area at the pool.  Because of
hassles by males, women don't want to bother with it.
     When I visited with nudists in the Austin area, they
essentially could care less about helping others discover nude,
or partially nude recreation.  They were only concerned with
their own nudity.
     We have many people on this list that have been nudists, or
naturist for many years, and some who are discovering this great
way to relax, and feel better about ones self.  Lets start a
discussion about how, and why we should support people like the
Topfree Seven, the Naked Guy, and the national organizations who
are continuing to fight for the right to be clothing optional.
