345.0. "Hot Tubs in MA" by BUSY::WROBERTS () Fri Dec 13 1991 15:36

    Hi folks!!

I havn't been in this file in ages, havn't had much free time so I
guess that's good as far as job security goes anyway;-).
Anyway i have a question, now there may have been a topic but if so, I
didn't find it. So please direct me if I'm missing the point here
please? I read somewhere that there is a place somewhere around
Worcester possibly Grafton MA where you can rent hot tubs for 2 or more
people. I guess they are in separate rooms but can be opened up to
accomidate groups. Anyway does anyone in here know where this is or any
others in the greater Worcester area or in the RI area?
Unfortunately there's a thin layer of ice on the pool now so I have to
resort to something to avoid frostbite;-)

much appreciation to all and incase I vanish again, have a very merry
Christmas and a happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    regards

345.1Great TUBS IN GRAFTONWMOIS::VENTURAMon Dec 16 1991 09:5940
    Hi Wil,

Yes, there is a place in Grafton called "The Oasis", that rents hot
    tubs. Some particulars are:

    	* You must call for reservations. Whether it's in the middle of
winter, or in the dead heat of the summer, they're usualy pretty busy.
You can call anytime. Before 4:00 p.m., you'll get an answering
machine. After 4:00 p.m. you'll get an attendant, but the line is
usualy pretty busy so you have to keep on trying. Normaly, you have to
reserve by Wed. the latest, if you want a tub for Friday or Saturday.

    	* The cost, as of a few months ago (and I don't believe anything's
changed), is $25.00 an hour for the 1st person and $5.00 an hour extra
    for each additional person. i.e...$25 p/h for 1, $30 p/h for 2 etc....

    	* Not all rooms connect. But you can fit at least 4 people that I
    can verify in a tub.

    	* You can b.y.o.b, but they do not like you to bring food or snack
    of any kind.

    	* They will supply you with towels and cups if you need them.

    	* They require that you shower before going into the tub. Each room
has it's on bathroom/shower. I suggest that you shower at home before
you leave. At $30 p/h, I don't want to spend any time in their shower.

    	* Each room is has a mini sound system if you want to bring
cassettes, or you can just listen to the f.m. radio.
bring cassettes, or you can just listen to the F.M. radio. They also
    sell soft drinks.

    	* These tubs are heavily chlorinated, and are cleaned after each
use. So if you are alleric to chlorine, this is not for you.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the info. Sounds like a fun idea for New Years eve
possibly. No problems with chlorine, I have a swimming pool and am quie
    used to the stuff.

thanks and who knows, maybe someday I'll meet some of you there!!

    have a wonderful holiday season

    regards
